Played the demo with some friends and loved it. Now that it's out, albeit in Early Access, it's still fun and tries to build a story. I can see some slight changes to the first areas compared to the demo, but nothing to hold your breath about. Crafting system is fine... I guess? You don't really need anything else besides a tier 2 crowbar and almond water, everything else is just kinda useless. Would be cool to actually require the player to craft/scavenge better armor for further areas, but as it is at the moment, there's no need for it. Monsters are also okay, I was looking forward to the dynamic reactions or heck even reacting to my microphone, but seems more like a gimmick in it's current state. It does have potential, don't get me wrong, areas are cool, atmosphere is cool, puzzles are unfortunately at the level a 2 year old could solve and honestly, it's not really nearly as long as I expected it to be after the demo. Hopefully it can properly flourish in the future, because if done right, it can turn into a cool game. Not really worth the current price either, 10EUR would've been a better choice for the overall state.

Took 5 and a half hours to complete (I explore a lot) and had a pretty good time with it. The story was honestly my favorite part. It kept me interested the whole way through without making me sit through a bunch of long cutscenes or dialogue every few minutes. There's enough there to keep you invested, but it doesn't get in the way of the gameplay. The graphics are also better than I expected. It's obviously not a AAA game, but most of the environments look really good and they nailed the atmosphere. They did a great job making it feel unsettling without relying on constant jumpscares. I played solo, but I think it'd be fun with friends too. For me it was only about a 4/10 on the horror scale, though if you don't play many horror games it'll probably feel scarier, especially at the beginning. My biggest issue was the Smilers. It took me a while to figure out how you're supposed to deal with them, which was more frustrating than scary. I also noticed some frame drops when breaking boxes and all the pieces flew everywhere. Overall, if you're into Backrooms games, I'd say it's worth checking out. Good story, good atmosphere, and better visuals than even some AAA games.

This is the best backrooms game i've ever played and its not even close. They weren't kidding when they said this wasn't a walking sim. the level design is amazing, and the story is great. If you actually want to play a good backrooms game thats different from the SLOP that is normally put out, then i highly recommend this game. and if you're a fan of survival horror i VERY HIGHLY recommend this game.

Finally a backrooms story that is a legitimate campaign experience that can be shared with friends, that isn't just a co-op walking simulator, essentially. Hoping this will be a great story-driven game. Keep doing what you're doing so far, because it's great from what little I've played so far. == Ongoing Review Updates == - Great graphics 8️⃣ - Physics and walking just feel great 9️⃣ - Weapons/Crafting is on point 8️⃣ - Environment flows nicely 9️⃣ 💡My only ask as of right now is to add "Toggle Crouch" option in the settings. ⭐The fact that I'm strict about only buying "overwhelmingly positive" games only, this game feels like it definitely has that potential. If it didn't, I would've left after 20 minutes but I'm still here. So I'm stoked.
