Nov. 2025
“Galactica has seen a lot of history, gone through a lot of battles. This will be her last.” When Battlestar Galactica Deadlock first released, it felt like a gift I never expected. The shows had ended, the spinoffs had stalled, and it seemed like the franchise had gone quiet. Then this game arrived—surprising, faithful, and full of heart. I played it from release, through the first two seasons of support between 2017 and 2020. I was sad when there was no Season 3, though I suppose a small team can’t keep developing a game like this forever. The soundtrack was great, the ship models were fantastic, and the lighting was perfect. Sitting behind a flak wall, watching missiles streak toward me as alert vipers launched and the storm closed in—that was peak Deadlock. I loved the different game modes too. The original command table, with the full star system and Daedalus at its center, had such a distinct feel. But I think Season 2 was my favourite: story was at the heart of it, and so was the Galactica. The Mk II Jupiter-class battlestars were an absolute sight to behold. I really enjoyed the modern ship pack as well—my only lament was that we never got a full campaign using those ships, though I completely understood why. And Anabasis was great too: that “fleet on the run” tension from the series brought perfectly into Deadlock’s mechanics. What struck me most overall was how well the devs handled the IP. They treated the First Cylon War with respect and imagination, blending mystery, politics, and that unmistakable BSG tone with some of the best tactical space combat I’ve ever played. Finding the wreck of a Kobolian ship, fielding Taipan fighters alongside my Mk II Vipers… moments like that made the universe feel bigger and more alive than a game of this type should be. Getting to shape my own fleet, visit the Twelve Colonies, and see their complex star system—it all felt like coming home to a part of BSG we never got on screen. And as Adama once asked, “What do you hear, Starbuck?” “Nothing but the rain.” Well… grab your gun and bring in the cat. Deadlock earned its place beside the stories that inspired it. The devs were just as impressive as the game itself. Even on Steam, without Discord, you could feel their presence—listening, responding, refining, and clearly caring. I suppose that team is gone now but if anyone from it ever reads this - my thanks for all your hard work! I own the game and every DLC, and I’m grateful for all of it. But I’m still sad to see it leave the store. Deadlock kept the flame burning for this universe, and it gave us stories and battles worthy of the Galactica name. So say we all.

Amazing game, get it before it's delisted. However, piracy shall make sure this masterpiece shall live on forever (hopefully). So say we all.

If your a fan of BSG you'll love this game sadly its disappearing on the 15 of the November which is a shame. Honestly wish this game had mods like from the steam workshop would have been amazing. love this game recommend it before it goes.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock absolutely nails the spirit of the show. It doesn’t try to rewrite the lore or take creative liberties — it respects the source material and builds on it beautifully. The atmosphere, music, ships, and tone all feel authentically BSG, and it kept me engaged from start to finish. I don’t usually play strategy games (I’m not exactly Command School material), but this one was surprisingly approachable — easy to learn, and incredibly satisfying once I got into the rhythm. The 3D space battles are tactical, cinematic, and just plain awesome. One thing I really appreciated: all of the achievements can be earned with just the base game. No nickel-and-diming with a dozen DLCs just to complete your trophy wall. That’s rare these days — and refreshing. My only real complaint is the lack of mod support. I would’ve loved to extend the experience with community content. Still, even without that, this game is frakking great. If you're a fan of the show — or just want a great tactical space combat game — Deadlock delivers. So say we all.

Fantastic strategy game. I love launching Vipers to take out the raiders coming for my fleet. Reinforcement Pack : Worth the extra ships. I love using Berzerks, hate Cerestes. Broken Alliance: Fun side missions to the campaign. Anabasis: Feel like you're doing a custom run of the show. Always try to keep your vipers close to recall them for the jump. Sin & Sacrifice: Great campaign, some of the best missions of the game. The Heracles is so cool, a massive gun in space. Resurrection: Good start to the second season, new campaign style and characters. Finally the Galactica looks right. Ghost Fleet Offensive: Good campaign. Modern Ship Pack: The ships are so fun in skirmish. Love the Valkyrie pocket Battlestar. Armistice: Great end to the game. Culmination of season two's plots. Some really good levels to end the game on.
