literally everyone's mind is probably plagued by the same kind of doubts whenever they wonder whether they shall give this game a try. and what shall i say? you very much should. it combines both Beholder and Beholder 2 in a way. this is what i like the most gameplay-wise: you can't really get bored too much, you gotta pay attention to this and that, bills are incoming, you run between the Ministry and the house you're taking care of, you choose between your blasted tenants and the family - and, surprise, both tenants AND your family act like huge bastards occasionally! they might have their fair points, but like, wtf bro i am scraping bottom as i am and you blame me for NOT amassing enough wealth in time? kys fr fr this game is very branched story-wise, i will certainly have it explored to the fullest before i grow as old as the Great Leader of course, but nonetheless yeah, you could totally sink hours in this and have a Lotta fun. also, out of all three games and the first game's dlc, the dlc and this part kept me most anxious all the fucking time. seriously. i LOVED this despite the mainstream opinion. does it feel blatantly bland at times? yes. does it feel uncanny from the very start regarding certain things? quite. but i think that only betters the overall experience, to hell with it. this is a dystopia. it's been running for years. this game could've had a secondary title FUTILITY, as even the, quoting Lotta Altmann, "capitalist hell" ending which i found the best so far, feels somewhat shady; kinda makes me think back to Beholder 2's ending, so i deem it all a grand illusion. haha. i'd label this game postmodern, and i do not do that too often. so in the end i am very satisfied, be devs the same or not. this IS cool. period. 2024/10 literally 2024 (we're hopeless and bound to die /j (or is it a /j?)

Do not blindly trust the negative reviews! I was sceptical going into the third game based on all the negative reviews, but after 17 hours, having 100%'d the game, I can safely say that the game, at least for me, does not suffer from any game-breaking bugs, and it has many improvements/QoL changes over the first, being to me what should have been the sequel. If you loved the first game's gameplay loop, the whole apartment management/spying/reporting, with side-quests and a bit of intrigue into the whole ministry affairs, then you'll most likely enjoy this one! Reviews, just like this one, are subjective, and what one person likes may not be the same for anyone else, so try to take all reviews with a grain of salt and ask yourself if you've enjoyed either of the two games, especially the first, and if the answer is yes and the only thing holding you back is the potential for performance issues or bugs that might prevent you from progressing, keep in mind Steam does have a refund option within a 2 hour window you can make use of. With all that being said, I fully believe this is a game worth taking the chance on. Given the bulk of the reviews I have read, very few actually complain about bugs to the point of not being able to finish the game so the risk on that seems minimal. Some improvements in Beholder 3 over the first; [*]Much cleaner UI, alongside an actual helpful tutorial. [*]Reporting/Profile system is much more straightforward, you now just select a person and it auto-fills various entries, you need only specify the information/evidence. [*]The controls are much more friendly, with keybinds for nearly everything. [*]You can save at will, and load any previous save. [*]You can cancel actions mid-animation, making for a much smoother experience. [*]The dialogue has been vastly expanded upon, with a lot more lore/information as well as humour. [*]Way more diverse quests, with both timed and untimed variants. [*]The homes of the tenants are unique, with each being decorated based on who moves in, instead of just another generic apartment. [*]You can now actually enter apartments while people are sleeping to check on their items! [*]Cameras can now be viewed REMOTELY, from anywhere, for not just the apartments, but work offices as well! The only downsides I can think of is transitioning between scenes when zoomed out may briefly cause frame skipping (this was on maxed out settings on the HD build, didn't happen always but does go away by itself as it renders everything, though you can also avoid it by just not being so zoomed out and using the cameras if you need to see an overview of all apartments/offices) as well as not quite having the whole "dark" war-torn vibe that the first game did such an excellent job of capturing, alongside quests not really feel dire with "shocking" consequences; but I suppose this can be attributed to Frank being in a much better position than our dear Carl was. Overall it is a solid game, and I definitely recommend it if you want more of the original.

A nice combination of Part 1+2. Good Story and a great 10hrs enjoyment. Just one wish: How about a DLC with some additions to get an endless mode after the story ends. But probably to much for the small player base I guess :(

I've only played for a little over an hour so far but holy hell this game exceeded my expectations from it. The first game was so good, and I was a little disappointed by the second game because it was just so much different (and a little worse) from the first game, but then the third game was basically the first but refined. I am very happy that I got this game and I hope it continues to be good :)
