30 hours in. Got some notes for possible buyers of this amazing game 1: Please, for your own sake, look up some early game guides. Getting stuff like the wagon, goat, and even personal cache are way WAY too useful to be a fool like me and go 10 hours without any of them using just the cart. 2: Dont skimp out on selling stuff at markets. Look up something with the market search using J (default key) and make sure to remember that buy orders are BUYING the item FROM you and sell orders are wishing to SELL the item TO you. It cant be just me who struggled to hammer that into my skull. Finding a market that buys something you wont have trouble getting, eg someone wanting to buy a TON of wooden logs or whatever the cargo item was called for example can be great. A lot of listings of buy orders are just stuff someone doesnt want to gather themself, for whatever reason that might be 3: Dont you dare stay in a starter city for the first 25+ hours. You should really consider searching for a player made city to join up with. 4: If someone left a task undone with accept help enabled, and if you can do the work, it can be good XP for stuff. EG Cooking, someone left undone a task of like 1000+ fish fillet in Cragthorn where I was hanging out and simply doing that for whoever it was got me from level 3 to just under level 16 in cooking! 5: When prepairing to craft in bulk, consider using your personal cache to store the crafting materials to start the craft in a high number, such as 1000+ fish fillet. 6: Enjoy the grind and ignore any haters. This MMO isnt like all the other ones. PvP isnt a super heavy focus. If anything this game is like an economy+life sim. Just do stuff. Have fun doing the task you like. Try out each skill and find a favorite, that will be your main 7: This game includes waiting for tasks to be done, so have a video or book or whatever to occupy your time if you dont want to spend it chatting with people in your region, though that is also a good way to pass some time.

Let me explain the premium currency: first when you buy the game, you get 10,000 of it which is the equivalent of 30$. Second, the ONLY thing it can do is buy you the ability to create an "empire". An empire is a specific area on the map that you choose where it will be and the size of which coincides with how much you're willing to spend. After you have an empire, it takes in game resources to maintain NOT more money. So you'll need alot of people to help maintain your empire by gathering & crafting the required resources. You as the empire owner get a crown floating above your head and the title "emperor". So what can this pay for empire do in game? Nothing. You have no power or authority in game. No control over anything and no way to take over anyones settlements or another empire. Its literally an ego boost for those willing to pay for it or for a streamer wanting their name on the map. The grind is real, but thats exactly how the game is supposed to be. Loving everything about it so far.

I don't understand the folk leaving the negative reviews about it being a grindy crafting game, thats literally how its sold and it doesnt hide it. If you have a main character complex this game isnt for you. It's not like other games where you can master everything and be the GOAT. The idea is you forge a path in a couple professions and carve out a spot for yourself as others will need your services (just as you will need theirs). You can jack of all trades to a certain level but that will fall off at higher levels. You wont look at a town and be like "I built all this", you will look at it and just know you contributed. Literally gather mats, build useful things, then either sell things or contribute to your empire or claim (the one im in is nice and chill but also super organised to we have projects up on discord that everyone chips into for base progression, heart upgrades, extra crafting stations etc) Once you get to T3 and you have a decent ship and cart the worlds your oyster to start exploring further biomes. The map is colossal. Be active while gathering in higher level areas (as things can attack you) - think of it as similar to resource gathering in Eve etc. But once you get all your stuff back to base you can semi afk it while crafting and check back every 10 mins or so to keep it ticking over. No shortcuts, just patience and planning. If you like chill crafting games that let you do what you want in the world, this is for you.

It's like RuneScape but instead of being about adventure and slaying monsters it's about adventure and deforestation
