this is the first game i have played until 100% completion and i can say this is a pretty Solid Game ! The character is so likeable, especially our main character eva wick. the enemy cone of vision is wide so it felt pretty satisfying to stealth or far shot an enemy. I love the art too. especiallly in game environtment really captured floating islands well. So many details like monster under the sky, clouds, various weathers, even sky kraken really make me immersed and enjoy playing the game !. i love the gameplay so much, especially if you liberated an island friendly npc filled that island and living their life there. can't interract with all of them but it really felt satisfying. the puzzle is well made even though it felt repetitive after some times, but still really enjoyable, the level design is good, encourage player to find their own ways. most of modern games nowdays guide you through level, this game really does a good job making me felt smart and it is once again satisfying to clear a level. free roam really put well in game like this. and the swarm region that is always changin outside of camera felt always strange and really fit the theme. there are downs in this game too, but the good and how satisfying it is enough to make me recommend you to buy this game or try the demo. some of the downs is like, npc felt useless againts enemy, i mean an island that has liberated and our main fathership does not have any defence turret againts the enemy at all. so it felt like all of them is just lazy and give all the work to me, and i can not lure enemy close to my main ship to just destroy them with alot of defence cannon. the other down is the shops, it felt really underwhelming. only little items is sold and all of them can sold out, but there are random shop skyship that has unlimited boxes to buy like what. are the skyship cargo is bigger than an island warehouse ? really underwhelming. this game has so many weapon varieties. but i felt like only use half of them, some weapons that bought with gold by digging treasures that i can only buy mid to late game felt useless when i already has swarm weapons than can do full damage to swarm. i love the golden revolver but i only use them for a little time because well my enemies are swarm and it's just better to use swarm weapons. all and all Black skyland is really solid game. Try it out !
pretty fun experience. everything felt fairly smooth and plays pretty well on the steam deck. Decent story that was fun to go through. Can experience everything the game has to offer in about 30 hours and is easy to pick up and put down, which is nice for me since I tend to be pretty busy and do not have much time to just sit and play games for more then an hour or two at a time.
Good pixel art style, decent soundtrack, interesting boss fights. Gameplay is a mixed bag of exploring the open world's sky (and getting interrupted by random encounters and stranded ships), clearing waves of enemies on islands (and failing to be stealthy while doing so) and treasure hunting on islands (and having to fast travel back to base a couple times to empty your ship's very limited inventory). Good enough, though. The game's world and general story are not bad; I like the vision here. However, the way the story is told ruins the gameplay's flow. Textbox dialogue, random scribbled notes and non-interactive cutscenes just aren't very engaging. It's the game's main weakness and might be the reason why most people don't finish the prologue. 100% achievement completion can easily be done during one playthrough, nothing is missable. Overall, it's okay.
i didnt play alot of open world games but i rank this game very high, if you really wanna chill and really have fun on a game i recommend this ,its pretty easy for you mental every loot is assigned in The map no need to farm every corner the world is full and fun to explore good mechs am really having fun real fun playing it. just get it especially on sale.
