I don't remember the specifics, but I enjoyed all of the Blackwell games. The experience evolves over the series, becoming an increasingly high-quality production. I recommend starting with the first game for continuity, then playing through the whole series. If you are like me and not into point-and-click adventure games, I highly recommend using a guide, because the games can be difficult.

The Blackwell series overall is a flat-out EXCELLENT point-and-click series, not just for the nifty storylines and easy-to-understand gameplay, but for two key aspects that hit my sweet spot just right: 1. Addictive pacing. With each mini-mystery having many small steps to go through, and very few of those steps being particularly difficult, the game creates a palpable sense of forward motion very similar to that of Sid Meier's Civilization series. The feeling of "Just one more step, and then I'll log out and go to bed," when its already well after midnight. Addicting! 2. Superb handling of dialogue and monologue. Most point-and-click games have an occasional dia-/monologue that goes on for so long that it becomes an annoyance to the gamer. A few such games have so much of it that the game is an overall disappointment for it. But the Blackwell series NEVER has overlong dia-/monologues. When Blackwell's characters speak, it's juuust enough to give us the needed information and a touch of character, without making me want to click through it all just to get it over with. This facet directly contributes to the addictive sense of forward motion I mentioned in the prior paragraph. BOTTOM LINE: The Blackwell series is an excellent combination of fun gameplay, interesting story, and a palpable sense of forward motion. In a word, SUPERB!!!

WARNING: This is third game in the series. While the first game, Blackwell Legacy, is somewhat optional, DEFINITELY play Blackwell Unbound before this - the game is a direct sequel and basically forms one continuous story with it. Anyway, amazing game. Puzzles are mostly really great (nothing too obtuse or moon logic), including some actual detective work (which is nice) - and the story is really great, especially as duet with Unbound. If you like games with good stories or classic point and clicks - its a must play.

Honestly, this series is getting better with each game. They're getting longer, production is better, and there are more mechanics that make the game more fun. I did have a few spots where I couldn't figure out how to trigger the next steps, but adding the computer search made it so much more fun! I love Joey and Rosa!

Damn, I LOVE this game series! The first one was already quite good, the second one had me confused about the lore (only because somehow I didn't realize it was "Lauren", not "Rosangela" the whole time. I'm just this stupid.) - but in this third one it's all coming together and it's brilliant! I love the characters, the portraits and voice acting, the setting and wonderful nostalgic gameplay (point and click adventures were my gamer starting point in the 80s/90s), the soundtrack is good too. I just can't think of anything to complain about and can't wait to start the fourth one of the series (after getting 100% in this one, I missed a few achievements). Give it a try! But I recommend to play it chronologically: start with "The Blackwell Legacy"!
