Note: This is the fifth and final game in the Blackwell series. You need to play [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/80330/The_Blackwell_Legacy/]The Blackwell Legacy , [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/80340/Blackwell_Unbound/]Blackwell Unbound , [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/80350/Blackwell_Convergence/]Blackwell Convergence , and [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/80360/Blackwell_Deception/]Blackwell Deception in that order to understand the story. Recommended for: As I mentioned with the first Blackwell game, the whole Blackwell series is recommended for any fan of traditional point'n click adventures. A good story, interesting characters, and great voice acting. The gameplay and graphics may not be on the same level, but they're still decent in my opinion. The Blackwell series started a bit rough with The Blackwell Legacy, but each subsequent title brought improvements. The Blackwell Epiphany is easily the best game of the five and the crowning jewel of the series. My experience: I had a great time with Blackwell Epiphany and the Blackwell series as a whole. I'm sad there won’t be any more Blackwell games after this. I would like to highlight the voices of Rebecca Whittaker (Rosangela) and Abe Goldfarb (Joey). Some of the best voice acting in gaming, with great chemistry between the two. I absolutely loved it. There is one thing I didn’t quite like and that is the ending. I can't go into details because of spoilers, but you can find plenty of discussions about it online. Some love it, others hate it. I personally don’t hate it like some people do, but I did feel a bit disappointed. In my opinion it deserved a more "satisfactory" ending. Technical: I had no technical issues while playing. Perfection is a fickle mistress. The Blackwell series is far from it, but the genuine humanity underlying these games, the warmth it provided despite tragedy, this stuff will stay with me for a long time. Rosangela, Joey and Auntie Lauren are some of the best characters of all time and I will forever be grateful for this ride.

A fantastic 5 part series and this one is the great finale. It's very dialogue and clue focused over smashing items together and all the games do that in a very nice way. Great characters, brought to life by facial portraits and soulful voiceacting. Really surprised how much I couldn't stop playing this series back to back over the past 5 days and can highly recommend other join the journy of Joey and Rosa.

The Blackwell series is pretty brilliantly scripted and easy gameplay, simple stories of loss and love, evil and good. The series runs with your main character 'Red' the psychic in a sedate fashion, and builds up towards the far more serious with Unavowed, which is pretty hard to place, but all the games in this series are really engrossing. So well told, you will find yourself inside your character and actually wishing you were Johnny the gangster instead. Red is a bit crazy, but she has one huge heart. Get the whole bundle on the specials and binge old-school detectiving.
