Some people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on this game but what they don't get is that back at day in 2010, this game was superb by that decade's standards. Blade Kitten was one of the unique games using shading style like borderland, the platforming is different than any game that existed back in the day. Even now, the game is still awesome and better in playability and quality compared to games that claim they're AA or AAA for 10 times the price and don't provide as much content in the same quality. So don't fall victim to presentism and give the game it's chance and be just in comparison with games of its era.

I enjoyed every single bit of this late 2000's Jetix Cartoon-like game. Beautiful and cute protagonist, funny side characters, nice story and lots of metroidvania platforming action and combat which can be rewarded in ingame money to purchase upgrades and costumes for your Cat Lady. The Upgrades are good for you since There will be a lot of difficult enemies in the road, so you will need a lot of health, stamina and weapon damage to counter some enemies and even bosses. Speaking of this game when I was doing my research on it I found out that Blade Kitten is based on Web Comic which surprised me cause I just know about the game. It's nice to have some additional lore and I hope the lore continues cause It would be shame to lose such gem of a franchise.

Once you get used to the fluent controls and the wonky combat, rushing through this game is actually quite enjoyable. However I would not recommend playing this game in the exploratory manner the devs intended, because that gets very tedious and boring. Also be warned: Blade Kitten is intentionally cut short withoug a proper ending and a 'second episode' being locked as additional purchaseable DLC.

Finally got around to playing Blade Kitten, after sitting on my backlog ever since it came out on the 360. It's... surprisingly fun. Nothing terribly original, a little janky, and a bit cringe in places... but its surprisingly solid all around. The art design is colorful & nice, even if the graphics leave a bit to be desired. The music (like the characters) is light and mischievous... and the levels are massive & open encouraging lots of exploration. Platforming controls are a bit janky but are serviceable & do their job well outside the odd automation induced freakout. The combat is whack though. Overall I say give it a try if you're into exploration focused platformers. PS I Can DEFINITELY see where Blade Chimera got the inspiration for its combat in this.
