This game reminds me of Muramasa: The Demon Blade but set in Ancient China. The story is very interesting and the boss fights are fun. A major con is that the strange ending made it fell like the game is incomplete.
Bladed Fury is a 2D Action Platformer about Princess Ji, her father Duke Kang was killed by Tian after invading the palace and kidnapping her older sister, she sets out on a mission to find out the truth and defeat his army after being accused of murder. The game offers stages each with platforming sections, challenges and puzzles to solve. You will have to clear rooms full of enemies in order to proceed to the next screen, learning new abilities and upgrades on the way to defeat the evil forces. OST and music was great and brings vibe of the old chinese era, I enjoyed listening to it while venturing through each stage and it gets intense during boss battles. The boss fights were a very nice challenge and adrenaline rush in each one of them, you will need to maintain focus during the whole fight and land those combos along with your soul skills. Each battle has a unique art design and set of skills that will test your reactions and dodge timings. it's a really recommended short and fun 2D Action Platformer if you're a fan of the chinese lore or a big fan of the genre in general. Overall Rating 8/10
Bladed Fury is a short but stylish 2D action game that knows exactly what it wants to be. What I loved the most is that the action starts immediately and never slows down. No filler, no downtime — just fast, fluid combat from the first minute to the last. The art style is gorgeous, the animations feel smooth, and the Chinese mythology theme gives the whole game a unique vibe. The combat is simple at first but gets more interesting with the Soul Sliver abilities, letting you chain satisfying combos and switch up your playstyle. Yes, it’s short — but honestly, that works in its favor. It stays fun, focused, and energetic all the way through without ever dragging. If you want a quick, stylish action experience with nonstop momentum, Bladed Fury delivers exactly that.
