I think this is the most interesting RTS title currently available on Steam. It's probably also one of the jankiest. The unit AI is awful and braindead, the pathfinding sucks, the squad controls are wonky, the camera is often wrong, the machinima / marionette cinematics in the latest Airborne DLC are terrible, the artillery balance is out of whack, the enforced stealth sections are hilariously bad, the conquest mode is a chaotic mess, the Steam page is a big pile of nonsense, and most of all the name is absolutely downright awful ... ... and yet it's a glorious game to play. It's the apex of the Men Of War / Outfront series, and is heaps better than the prequel (Call To Arms 1). It definitely holds the most potential of all the current in-development RTS games and I wish it to keep going and improve and maybe one day reach that potential. It has a huge amount of content (single, and multiplayer) and is so much more engaging to play than its most direct comparisons (e.g. Men Of War, COH) and indeed all other wee-men RTS games. The campaign missions are varied and fun. The procedurally generated Conquest mission is much improved from CTA1 and works well to feed hungry players with infinite content (discounting the hilarious movement AI often displayed by the enemy) The base game is often on sale for a few quid and that's a massive bargain. Once it has its hooks in you'll be desperately buying full-price DLC before you know it as you're too eager to wait for a sale. If you have even the minimal interest in WW2 or RTS games then it's a must buy. If you're a fan of the (once amazing) Company Of Heroes games, it's a must but. If you long for something to come close to the previous glory of Close Combat, then its a must buy. If you like challenging and engaging games, then it's a must buy

It's the Arma of RTS's. Destruction, lighting things on fire and having the fire spread, unit options are huge, direct control of any unit. This blows every other WW2 RTS out of the water and is a true labor of love.

Basically men of war 2 as it should be...nice visuals,superb sound of tanks weapons. 3rd person, 1st person..wow. clever unlock tree. Challenging. Here and there bug but nothing serious. Worth. Ai is dumb sometimes, sometimes heavy micromanaging but it's also beauty of it.

All of my time in this game has been in singleplayer. I've played maybe 4 multiplayer games ever. As someone who started with Company of Heroes 1 & Men of War 1, this game is amazing. Honestly I'm more than entertained playing against AI in skirmishes or the dynamic campaign. Most nights after work I boot this up and play for a bit and it definitely scratches the RTS itch in a really satisfying way. Theres nothing better than seeing an AT ambush playing out perfectly! Even when you're losing its still fun trying to fight to the last man in pure desperation against a swarm of tanks and infantry The regular campaign is good, but I don't really play it that much honestly. If you're a fan of the genre rest assured you'll have plenty of fun on your own. The AI can give you a pretty good run for your money

The best WWII RTS game ever made. This is a proper strategy game that has been made to be as accurate as possible whilst still remaining fun and balanced. A word of warning though, this is a micromanagement heavy game which I personally enjoy but others may not, you can literally open the inventory of every single unit and swap guns, ammo etc. The great thing about this game is that it is always improving (this makes older reviews less accurate), they have made a lot of improvements to the AI and other things. The battles are amazing and strategy really matters, every unit has a purpose, from the humble soldier to the heaviest tank and as time goes on everything can change very quickly. This is the perfect game for history fans. There are some negatives however. Although the game has improved and I trust will continue to improve the Ai still needs some work, as does the performance in larger battles and although I haven't tried the multiplayer out myself it supposedly could also use some improvements. This is a 9/10 game for me and I recommend it to anyone looking for a WWII RTS. Also I strongly recommend getting all the DLC's as they add so much to the game.
