After 47 years of gaming and many - many wargames, this is a lot better than the reviews make out. Good penetration model - graphically superior to anything out there today - I think the biggest challenge they face is the world of tanks generation who can't understand why their Sherman gets reduced to rubble after two rounds from a Tiger or anti-tank gun. Keep going devs this has the guts to keep going.... don't give up. The only thing I would add is - its not early access.... its early alpha [ Updated ] German campaign now complete - and now well beyond beta and heading towards a great final product.

BE WARNED! This game is not close to complete AND for reasons unknown they have locked some missions and skins behind a paywall IN EARLY ACCESS!!!??? Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you do this? It's not finished and you're already nickle and diming the EXTREMELY SMALL community??? Not a good look bruh. Shame! Review: The game at it's core is an arcade style tank game. It leans into sim aspects but mainly it's not going for realism but more so for a fun time blowing things up with a big gun. The AI is absolute trash. They are not even worth attempting to use as they are utterly useless. Your best option is to just try to send them toward the enemy and get them to reveal their positions or leave them at base so they don't die. Thats it. Most of the time they get stuck somewhere and just sit there being useless. So after the AI it's basically you vs the game and it has it's moments. Flanking maneuvers, hull down positions, and shot placement all seem to work in theory but it needs some polish. The ammo choices are a nice touch but at the same time giving me 3 different shells all with the same pen and destruction is kind of redundent. Is comes down to HE and AP that are really what you are deciding. Soft or open targets die with HE and tanks die with AP. I have seen complaints that the enemy can kill from across the map and sometimes sure, that happens, but I'm usually at fault for rushing or for using a light tank. On the topic of tanks, you get a very limited selection, a few lights, meds, and only 1 heavy, the Tiger. I have only played all the German missions so you might get a heavy for the American side but I haven't seen it yet. They need to add quite a lot to make the game worth the price tag. I got it for 20$ on sale and I would say thats worth it in the current state. It would be nice to have a USSR and British line of tanks. It would also be nice to have an Africa, and Italian region with sand and sun. Also, add more iconic events. There's so many, I don't know why they didn't It would be nice if they allowed a way to position your AI tanks but the AI is just too stupid at this point. Adding a way to mark enemies would be helpful and a quick way to command other allies to fire on positions or enemies is missing. Sometimes you are rolling with 8-10 other tanks but they are not able to be interacted with at all by you. A way to tell them about enemies would be good. Repair and resupply is basic. Hold a button to fix and sit in a circle to resupply. I got annoyed that sometimes I would have to sit in the circle for 2 minutes just waiting for the tank to resupply 4 shells at a time. A quick resupply option would be good. A commanders hatch with the ability to use binocs would be amazing. At this point none of the team can do anything special. Adding abilities would add depth, like a hot streak or like a battle haste after a few kills without getting hit would be nice. There is no level progression which sucks. I want my tankers to be able to get levels and unlock new abilities or at least be able to cusomize their skills to my playstyle. Right now it is fun but on a very basic level. Needs A LOT more!!! Good framework but missing all the stuff that add to progression. Right now what you get out of the box is it. Nothing else. Needs more time to cook but a solid foundation. Buy on sale or if you are a die hard for tank games pick it up, but be warned, it's bare bones. UPDATE: They added some levels,, 2 tanks, binoc's, pinging, and some other features. Your AI teammates are still some of the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ tanks ever seen. PLEASE make the squad of 4 tanks that follow me actually kill the infantry. Spent 15 mins clearing out buildings in ONE OBJ., one by one with a Tiger (SLOW AS ♥♥♥♥!!!) because NONE of my INFANTRY KILLING support tanks would do ANYTHING!!! I literally quit playing because it got too frustrating. They really need to fix the support tanks and infantry. The fact that I win the obj. but all the infantry in buildings don't surrender is one thing. The fact that you have to go house to house to find them all, because if you don't they just shoot AT at you. When you do find them they just surrender anyways and it is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STUPID. Why do I have support tanks with infantry killing weapons, SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO KILL INFANTRY if they don't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?!? Also, if the rocketeer that JUST SHOT MY TANK 5 seconds ago tries to surrender right after, ♥♥♥♥ YOU, YOU DIE! Stop penalizing players for killing infantry directly after they LITERALLY JUST TRIED TO KILL ME! It's still bare bones but at least the devs did something. Really want the paywall levels to be accessible to everyone that... uno... PAID FOR THE GAME!

The game is ok, but Shermans, M5's and Greyhounds taking 3 - 5 shots from a Tiger's 88mm is a bit unrealistic.

This game is good, i recommend you buy it. I don't think most of the reviews actually read the games description, this game is NOT a "Tank simulator" or is it trying to compete with other WWII tank games. its a "simcade" experience. Do NOT buy this game expecting a WWII GHPC, or even warthunder. Its a little buggy and not being able to load from checkpoints is frustrating but what do you expect? It says it right there in the words "early access game" With the studio making this game being involved in MOWAS1/2 and CTA i have very high hopes for this, just as CTA started off slow and ramped up, i expect this to do the same. Steam reviews are a little too critical, everyones a critic.

The people complaining about the "AI voice" acting in this game clearly didn't read the disclaimer that pops up immediately when you first start the game, that states the AI voices are place holders until they get real voice actors later in the development process. This game is fun but is early access so it's missing some things and other things aren't finished. The sounds are great, the graphics and models are great, and the destructible environments are immersive. The combat is really fun and everything shows some serious potential. There's an announcement page where the devs can communicate their plans and they have posted some information already on whats next. This game is also developed by the same company that makes Gates Of Hell, one of the best and most well supported RTS games available. So I trust that they will constantly work to improve this game during the EA period, and that's enough for me to give them some money for support
