I got everything for this in a steep sale, so while a lot of these are games I've never heard of, it was still a pretty good deal for what I got. That being said I am absolutely perplexed. Y'see Arcade Stadium 1 has god-awful stuttering that renders the games I WANTED to play unplayable, like 1942 and Ghouls and Ghosts (This is apparently due to V-Sync so make sure that's on, dunno why it isn't an issue for CA2S though). They both have the same stupid Enigma DRM "protecting" 30 year old arcade titles, so you'd think it'd be just as bad here, but nope. From what I can tell games play buttery smooth through Stadium 2. So I mean yeah, this collection is a tad more obscure, but they're still fun games so I'd say if you see this collection on a sale go for it, just avoid Stadium 1 like the plague. I mean seriously though why put DRM on this, if you were gonna pirate all of these why go through the effort of cracking a collection when you can just download the original ROMs and play them through MAME, I don't understand Capcom's train of thought here.

(This review is for both Arcade Stadium Editions available as of the original date of publishing this review, so the body of text is repeated for my review of the first Capcom Arcade Stadium.) Capcom Arcade Stadium, both 1 and 2, are solid collections of games that I am not disappointed in owning. I love to play arcade games, but have a difficult time mastering them. With these collections, I can play a wide variety of games - bullet hells, fighting games, platformers, Puyo Puyo-likes, Tetris-likes, Match 3s - and master my timing and skills in these games which I still fare horribly at. Having a rewind/slow-mo/fast-forward feature is very much appreciated, one that I also loved in SEGA Genesis and Mega Drive Classics (which I still own). I'm not very good at Street Fighter, for instance, but I can better practice the Special Moves in slow motion (I have no idea how to execute them properly yet, and I've been playing SF for about three years now). I can also rewind, if a move I make is not well executed. Some games I don't really like, such as Darkstalkers (although I appreciated Felicia's innocent, playful personality), but I'll almost always play a Mega Man game, and I know that there are two in these collections! PLEASE NOTE: One con about this title is that it uses The Enigma Protector, a type of DRM Capcom is using on older titles in place of Denuvo Anti-Tamper. However, I would not be too worried about it, as it is not super aggressive and can be defeated with anti-DRM tools if necessary - let me stress for legal reasons that I am NOT recommending this and do not endorse piracy or cheating, but if you're only playing offline AND not sharing the software, then it can be done - but even with Enigma in the game, all it really is meant to do is prevent cheating in the ranks, so I say leave it be.

WAIT FOR THE SALE, 26 bucks for this whole treasure trove is nothing. I don't agree with the DRM crap though.
