I couldn't test the online mode because there were no players. The story mode, despite having some funny bugs, is very good. I feel like the story gets a little lost at some points, or maybe I just didn't understand it. The horror in the game is simply incredible, despite being somewhat predictable, it managed to scare me at various points or at least make me very tense. (I got a fright from the picture of the bull.) The freedom to jump and move objects made the game much more fun and, of course, improved my gaming experience. There's nothing better than simply trapping the crocodile in two boxes, one on top of the other, to better observe the landscape, hahaha... Now, getting back to the subject, I believe that this game, both in story mode and online, still has a lot to show, and I recommend playing it. I just wish the developers of this game would at least try to make the online mode free to attract new players.

CASE 2: Animatronics Survival, developed and published by Walnut LLC, is a tense first-person survival horror game that places players in a world dominated by sinister animatronic adversaries. Released in 2018, the game combines stealth mechanics with a narrative-driven experience, offering both single-player and multiplayer modes. Its ability to create an atmosphere of suspense and its focus on strategy and careful planning have made it a noteworthy entry in the survival horror genre, earning generally positive reception on Steam. The story is set two years prior to a catastrophic event at a police station, plunging players into a city marked by mysterious disappearances and an ominous amusement park. Players step into the shoes of Jack, a man with a complicated past, who becomes entangled in a series of increasingly dangerous situations. The narrative is rich with twists and tension, encouraging players to explore their surroundings and uncover hidden clues. The variety of environments, from dark corridors to abandoned recreational areas, provides a diverse and immersive setting that enhances the horror experience. Gameplay revolves around stealth and survival, requiring players to carefully manage their movements and resources. Using a tablet interface, players monitor security cameras, track animatronic positions, and strategically plan their navigation to avoid detection. Each animatronic behaves differently, presenting unique challenges that keep players constantly on edge. Failure to act cautiously can result in sudden and unforgiving consequences, reinforcing the importance of vigilance and tactical thinking. The animatronics themselves are central to the game’s suspense. Each creature exhibits distinct behaviors and unpredictable patterns, making encounters intense and engaging. Certain animatronics, such as the Crocodile, add an extra layer of intrigue with unexpected appearances and unsettling audio cues, creating moments of surprise that heighten the tension. These carefully designed encounters demonstrate the developers’ attention to detail and their ability to craft memorable horror experiences. Visually, CASE 2 employs a dark, atmospheric aesthetic that enhances its eerie mood. Dim lighting, shadowy corridors, and meticulously designed interiors contribute to a pervasive sense of dread. The animatronics are rendered with intricate detail, their movements and expressions effectively amplifying the unsettling environment. Complementing the visuals, the game’s sound design plays a crucial role in building suspense. Ambient noises, sudden sounds, and subtle audio cues provide constant tension, forcing players to remain alert and responsive to their surroundings. While the game excels in atmosphere and tension, it does face some technical and design limitations. Multiplayer modes have been reported to suffer from connectivity issues, making cooperative or competitive play less reliable. Additionally, the checkpoint system has drawn criticism for its infrequency, sometimes forcing players to replay extended sections of the game after failing, which can disrupt pacing and immersion. Despite these drawbacks, the core gameplay and horror elements remain engaging and effective. In summary, CASE 2: Animatronics Survival is a compelling survival horror experience that successfully blends stealth, strategy, and suspense. Its richly designed environments, unpredictable animatronics, and tense atmosphere create a gripping journey that keeps players on edge. While technical issues and certain design choices may impact some sessions, the game’s strengths in narrative, immersion, and strategic challenge make it a memorable entry in the genre, appealing to both horror enthusiasts and players who enjoy tactical survival gameplay. CASE 2 is a mix of horror and survival, where you're hunted by evil animatronics in dark corridors. The atmosphere is tense, and the gameplay is nerve-wracking — every sound is scary, and every mistake can cost you your life. The story tries to be interesting but can be confusing at times. There's an option to play as an animatronic, which is unusual and fun. The graphics are decent for an indie game, but bugs, lags, and glitches still occur. Sometimes your progress doesn’t save, and there are occasional crashes — not great. The multiplayer is almost dead, and finding a match is hard. But if you're playing for the single-player experience and enjoy horror games, it might be worth a try. Just don’t expect a masterpiece.
