An indie game that has officially left early access. Sadly that alone already deserves praise these days. The gameplay loop is insanely good. At first the game even feels too hard, but once you start understanding the nuances of character progression and weapon choices, it suddenly clicks. From that point on, you turn into an absolute nightmare for your enemies. There are a few technical shortcomings which is understandable since this is only a two man project, ranging from choppy animations to two crashes. Under normal circumstances this would have meant a score deduction BUT the gameplay is so damn good that I am willing to look past it. I really hope for a sequel or at least a DLC, maybe with improved visuals. Steam Deck info: While the game is listed as playable on the store page, the Steam Deck really starts to struggle towards the end and noticeable stuttering occurs. Because of that, I can only recommend playing it on PC. 10/10 – Masterpiece Unforgettable and outstanding. A masterpiece. I want others to experience this too. Immediately.

Defence game with strong artstyle and music. Mixes well use of traps as well as hero with his skills and weapons. Good selection of traps, weapons and items. Nice selection of enemies, split into 3 sub factions but variants/stronger versions could use some diversity of methods to deal with them since only real difference are resistance and HP. Same for maps. Only real difference are towers points, spawns and if map has multiple exits to defend. No special effects, tools and very little of environment hazards to took advantage off. Whole alchemy theme seems to not be utilised to it full extend. Game award points for combos but combos are not going off well with each other, combat wise. Only alchemical combos are fire, shock, ice and acid. But for combat fire combo with gas/oil, water with ice or shock and acid eats armour away. Aside from points, there is no need to waste resources for combos as most basic weakness based counter is the best. There is gameplay potential there, as well with their use in map, that isn’t realised. But that’s me problem as highscore thing isn’t for me. Only real problem with game is itemisation, which require RNG crafting the same item over and over for it to both have proper level AND proper attributes as they make weapons/items way more useful. Fact that after crafting you have accept or scrap buttons tells me that its by design. And to that I say: “No, go away”. Also some may consider it problem/bad design that some traps/items are objectively better than others, making large selection kinda go to waste. Never the less, it's fun game. Recommend.

absolutely fantastic game! just one hiccup: heaven forbid you spend 0.2 seconds longer than you should deploying gadgets/reloading mid-fight - you will lose your killstreak bonus which literally all reward is tied behind.. definitely dont run ahead and kill a pack earlier then retreat! how dare you use strategy.

Game is great concept. Half of success is your effort, other half are your traps and towers. You can craft your gear so it has better stats, affixes or proc. effects. I have one issue with the game and it is that last 2 hours I have been trying to complete "Crossroads" map which is basically almost last map in the game on high difficulty and everytime during 3rd wave game just freezes and there is nothing to do. I dont know how to overcome this so I am just trying over and over in hope it will not crash. Other than this gamebreaking bug, which might be just my issue, gameplay and everything else is great.
