It's a very adorable idle game that I love having in the back while I play other games or while watching something. I love the pixely graphics they chose and the cat models are super cute aswell. Personally I find it really cozy and relaxing For people that hate slow progression it probably isn't the choice. It is a game meant to take quite a few hours if you're planning to complete your chonkadex and I'm talking about 100+ hours. It's not something you're supposed to actively play for hours on end or to speedrun, it's more of a background idle game and I honestly love that! All in one, It's adorable, I love randomly checking in on the kitties. Plus points for the cat & room variety. Also.. chonk

Chonkers is a very cute cat game where you have to buy cards and complete all collections: normal, chonkers, space and space chonkers. The ambient is very cozy and the pixels graphics are nice. I highly recommend it!!! 🐈💗

Ultimately it's a lovely little idler to have going in the background. Pros- - They seem to have done some research with cat breeds, which is fun. - Low pressure and cute. I can have it open in the background, say, while I work, without feeling like I need to check it every second. Cons- - Look... we all love looking at fat animals but glorifying animal abuse/neglect is a little icky. This game actively encourages you to get 'chonkers' (luckily through chance, not through feeding your cats to that point). It's fiction, it's just a game, it's for the memes, yes I know, but it would have been nice to see a clear disclaimer or something reminding the general public to keep their pets healthy or showing the creators are mindful of reality/vs. cute fake fat cats themselves. Just food for thought. Okay, that's my soapbox. - The pacing is a little weird?? Sometimes there is stuff to do when you look in and sometimes there are stretches with almost nothing. Maybe that gets better as time goes on but it is truly a slower idler and while that's nice and low pressure at the beginning, later on it feels like... well, pointless. - Due to said pacing, I think, playing with certain cats (to help give them more xp/level them) is really pointless. You hold down the right click button indefinitely to make their xp bar go a wee bit faster. It doesn't sit right with me that it's easy to play with lower-cost/lower-level cats and get progress. I'm not sure the solution here because I know you're not meant to slam your way through the game via playing, but also, what is the point of playing with higher-cost/level cats? I do like playing it ultimately - for now. If I don't get to a point with a little more action soon I might not find it worth keeping open, but, I've enjoyed finding the kitties I can and the little chores in the game.

top five tips for beginners: 1) sell cats as soon as they hit level 1 (yes it hurt, no there isn’t really another option) 2) buy furniture as soon as you can, starting with anything that helps EXP 3) need money fast? change distractions to ‘intense’, turn on outlines, turn on chill mode and CLICK THOSE LEAVES 4) always choose space cats when they are an option 5) for the love of god, ENABLE THE TOGGLE overall I’m enjoying the game but it is high on the active end of “idle”, and if you don’t know the above, progress can feel a little bit frustrating

If you like cats and idle games, this is the game for you. Chonkers is a mostly idle game with a gacha mechanic (with ingame currency, no real money involved) on how you acquire new cats (the best gacha I would say). So many cute cats to collect, including chonky and space ones and to fill your virtual backyard with. The game also has super chill low-fi music that I love to have running in the background as I do other things on my computer. It just overall has a very cozy vibes, and again who doesn't like cats (if you're in that category, I can't do anything for you).
