It's super chill and a great palate cleanser, especially if you're a Cirno fan, which everyone should be. It's a platforming collectathon without any enemies, death pits or any of that stuff that wouldn't threaten Gensokyo's strongest anyway, so they knew better than to be in the game at all. There's plenty of cute things to spot and obviously Touhou fans will get a lot of the little references behind them but even folks unfamiliar with Touhou should easily have a good time. The music is great, as expected. Proving she would be a great Metroidvania protagonist, Cirno totally forgets just about everything she can do, gradually remembering as she gets power items. Flapping her wings to slow fall is the first such ability and she looks so incredibly smug doing it that the game's basically worth it just for that. It's worth mentioning that if you're going for the achievement that requires you to not use the super jump, the game does take a bit of skill. Once you 100% collect everything and evict that dang boulder, be sure to load back in for one final little challenge. ⑨ / ⑨
A great game. As someone been a fan of the series since my childhood and who's first favorite Touhou character was Cirno, and favorite Touhou game is 'Great Fairy Wars' it's nice to finally see it up to bat to be referenced in fan games for once. It was nice hearing renditions of tracks from it in there. Gameplay was fun as I love platformers and the ability to go into a first person mode made some things easier. The level itself was pretty and reminded me Cool Cool Mountain from Mario 64. I do think there should have been some enemies in the game or maybe a boss at the end, but maybe its fine that there isn't. Not everything needs to be some epic spell card duel, but the world felt a bit empty and that was a shame. All in all, a charming game. You should like it if you play 3d platformers.
