Although I did put this as recommended, this review is actually a mixed one. Pros and Cons Pros -Open world (literally, you can go to any town/city in the world) -Extensive management on the buses, staff, and passengers alike ---For passengers, there is passenger satisfaction and your rating, which is based on a variety of things ranging from punctuality to seat comfort, it is also affected based on how well you maintain your buses ---For buses, you have to maintain it by cleaning it, fueling it, and keeping it in good condition ---For staff, there is stress level, and I like that friendliness gets higher the more you pay them, they can also ask for vacations or raises -Traffic delays buses, which is counteracted with bus priority (a feature I like, as it adds realism to the game) -Sandbox mode included! (I, personally, am a sucker for sandbox mode, as you can make whatever your heart desires, there is also normal and expert modes, which provides variety to gameplay) -Steam workshop support, now I can mod the heck out of this game, as I usually do with other modable games (it also adds gameplay variety) Cons -Lack of POIs (Points of Interests) in some cities (due to the usage of OpenStreetMap rather than something like Google Maps) -UI can get buggy (when I had the route maker open, I somehow closed the map and I couldn't do anything until I managed to open the map back up) -Lack of depth in routemaking, cover a decently sized area and you're good to go, you don't even need bidirectional service (it is just passengers coming from and going to random areas) -Livery editor can be limited (it's cool that you can import your own images and make a custom livery, however, you cannot stretch or squash images [that I am aware of, please let me know if you actually can do this] , and this has resulted in some difficulty in making a good livery) -Base price is a little high for what it is (in my opinion, I would pay $15-$20 for this game, not $30, I got this during a sale [this is only my opinion, everyone's price preferences are different] ) -The "guide" isn't even a guide, it just tells you what to buy without much further explanation. The buttons can also be a little hard to find sometimes (from my experience). My Verdict City Bus Manager is good for those who just want a detailed tycoon-style management game, I recommend the game because of that. For those who want to make actual public transport systems, I would recommend NIMBY Rails or Transport Fever 2 , and maybe even Cities: Skylines if you also want to make the city. To be honest, I would've chosen a "thumbs middle", "mixed", or a "neutral" option if it was offered. I feel like this would be a much better game if the cons were addressed. Edit: Apparently you can dispatch buses automatically, but you have to unlock it under "shift schedule" via the tech tree, I've removed that con. Edit 2: I've updated this review to have another con about the "guide".

Since I am in a country where English is not the native language, the evaluation was translated using translation software. There may be parts that are unclear or contain grammatical errors, please forgive me CityBusManager, as a game for planning and operating urban public transportation, is similar in gameplay to Cities in Motion. However, it has both advantages and disadvantages. CityBusManager does not feature real scenes or other modes of public transport; it only runs on pre-generated maps, but the maps are real. On the other hand, Cities in Motion offers a variety of transport options, features real scenes, and allows you to plan the city yourself. If I were to recommend, I would suggest Cities in Motion and its successor, Cities: Skylines. If you just want to play a bus game, this game is actually a good choice too.

I LOVE THIS GAME. I could spend hours perfecting a bus network in any city of my choice. I love the ability to unlock more management features and how you also run the depot along with the network. Can't wait to see what other features are implemented as the developers are very active with the gamers. Highly recommend - go buy now and rot your life away being an autistic bus nerd like me! ;-)

Good game overall. The developers are also active which is great to see. You can feel this game has life in it. The maps/roads are extremely up to date as well. Plotting bus routes along the same ones in reality is wildly entertaining and indirectly proves 'i could do it better'.
