This game is a massive step up from the previous iteration of CTS. The Good: 1. Love the buses in this game. The physics and the sounds really do add to the immersion of this game and make things a lot more realistic. 2. Love the friendly interactions that you have with your drivers whilst you are driving a bus route. It does really add realism to the game, as that is what drivers do in the real world. 3. The game also does look really good too. 4. Yesterday's update (at the time of posting this) is really good. Option to skip out stops and make more direct routes is a massive win in my book. It has allowed me to free up space at bus stops along my route, which can easily get overcrowded by other routes. However, I do have some problems with this game, The Bad: 1. My biggest gripe is the navigation system. Right now, there are arrows on the floor which help guide you to the next bus stop en route. However, I do not like the fact that when I change my destination display on my bus, that the navigation system doesn't update at all. This really does kill the immersion and weakens the realism a fair bit for me. That is really the only serious gripe I have with the game currently. Definitely would recommend and is one of the better bus sims out there right now in my opinion.
Hello everyone! I definitely recommend this game. It's very enjoyable and quite realistic. I wouldn't call it an absolute masterpiece, but it's definitely a strong contender. I've been playing it since release and I regularly make videos about it. First, the optimization could be a bit better. The second thing I really miss is an automatic "look into the turn" feature. Right now, the driver always looks straight ahead unless you manually move the camera with the mouse. I'd love to see the driver's view automatically turn slightly in the direction you're steering, similar to how it works in ETS2. I don't use head tracking, so this would make it much easier to judge the size of the bus and see where I'm turning. Alternatively, it would be great to have keybinds for fixed camera angles, for example 65-80° to the left and right. That way, while making a turn, I could quickly glance left or right and then instantly switch back to looking straight ahead (using reset camera pos). I also want to suggest that the developers focus on adding as much transportation as possible to the game, such as small buses, double-decker buses, maybe even taxis, etc. Overall, I still highly recommend the game and I'm looking forward to seeing how it continues to improve!
Compared to previous CTS release, a lot of things have been improved on, especially regarding physics, which are way more adequate. Both buses and trams feel as they should. Graphics-wise game looks very good, and compared to competitor titles runs better. A few things still could be improved upon further, but it does look like Viewapp is actually putting time and effort to deliver a great experience. DLC model is questionable (because it makes overall CTS rather expensive), but for the price it's decent balance. I really hope to see wider support for modding in the future, and this game might bring some long awaited changes in bus (and tram) simulation games. If you played OMSI2 a lot, buses there have very similar overall feeling (in previous CTS release, it was somewhat bad). I had rather low expectations to this product (slop), and to my surprise, I actually have way too much fun with it. For all things CTS is, what you can't say is that it is a quick slop sim. From my own POV, it looks like a perfect shot inbetween casual and more hardcore simulation players at the same time. I really hope to see this product being improved upon and expanded further in the future.
