Some of my fondest gaming memories are staying up late with my dad back in the late 90's, playing the Strike series games (Jungle Strike, Urban Strike, Desert Strike..) on the SEGA Genesis. I'm almost 40 now my dad is still around thankfully, and every so often we still bring up the Strike games. I bought him one of those reissue SEGA's a few years ago and even tracked down copies of all the games and gave it to him for his birthday.. I even included the level codes for him! Anyways, I'm not a real big gamer anymore, much less a PC one. I saw an add for this game randomly on instagram and was like I KNOW THAT ISO VIEW!! I bought right then and started playing. This game is a 2026, modernized, spiritual successor to the Strike series and I absolutely love it. The added mechanics of being able to move and face using the keys and mouse are a wonderful way to make a simple iso-view game feel fresh, modern and fun. I loved Cleared Hot and am excited to see Chapter 2. I hope we get many many more Chapters. Thank you guys for the nostalgia and fun
My parents lived paycheck to paycheck. On rare and special ocassion we would rent either a Super Nintendo or a Nintendo 64 from the local video store. Needless to say, what games we chose to go along with the rental were sacred. On one of those occasions, I saw a helicopter on the box and couldn't resist. A game called jungle Strike. Today, Im almost 40. Finding time to play video games can be difficult let alone feeling any sort of nostalgia from playing them. This game. Wow. I was 12 years old again, the same energy I felt long ago. The soundtrack, the sound, the gameplay brought me back to my childhood living room, sitting with my brothers, fighting over the controller. Im excited to keep playing. Thank you.
I bought this for my dad after we saw a game review on youtube. He's been playing on my pc and absolutely loving it. He's been able to relive his teen days; sitting down and playing desert & jungle strike on the mega drive. I seriously hope there'll be more updates, I wish to see my dad happy more often.
