Great Game but very early access I know I am enjoying a game when I am lying in bed thinking about what I want to do tomorrow in the game, and this was one of those games. Pros * It has a story and some level of a quest line. As a GenX gamer, it is something I sorely miss in today's games * The grind is not grindy. Yes you feel like you put effort in getting your ship just the way you want it, but as a single player it is not killing the fun. * Artistically it is very beautiful and feels like Elysium. Cons * Ship fights are as simple as using your jet pack to land on the ship and destroying its core. It does not attack the player, only your ship. The enemy ships has not Mobs to fight. * Still very buggy. They are actively fixing it, and in the 30 hours I played, I could see the bugs being fixed from one day to the next. * No online help. I could find very little on the internet to assist with the game. There is no Wiki, very little YouTube or Discord to assist. I thing it might be because of the amount of changes happening since it came out. My final verdict: If you get it on a special I would grab it, but otherwise I would wait a couple of months for the cons to be sorted out first before playing it.
Pros: Good Gameplay Fair size world Graphics feel good Cons: Bugs Lag once in a while possibly due to too many objects floating on screen. No sense of direction for progress. Solo players have a hard time fighting ships. Very limited player bag space. 7/10 Has potential will keep playing it , fills the hole from another game i wont mention but it ran on SpatialOS, you know what game i mean.
I've played through the early access. I would recommend the game. My shipmate and I had fun even with the glitches we encountered. Suggestions for the Devs: 1. Locater is broken. It gives locations of ships that are not there. It worked until we had killed all if not all of the ships. We started to doubt if the NPC ships were respawning, we figured out they do, or thought they were, but not reliably by any means. 2. Storage needs more space, with as much random items that you pick up just by moving around in the game we found ourselves dumping a lot once we had two large storages filled with every base item. 3. Waiting 5 minutes to build the kits is a bit excessive. 4. Add a trash. 5. Respawn trees, other resources, and ships. 6. Fix the glitchy movement. It did seem better the last couples of days so maybe that is done. 7. Polish what you have before adding more content, but more content is needed. 8. Add speed to the airships. They are dreadfully slow. 9. Lifter V1 burns fuel constantly. If it going to it shouldn't while docked for sure and at a much lower rate when not docked. Ideally only when lifting the ship. 10. The current wood ship part weigh too much. Granted we made a rather large ship, due to the already mentioned storage problem, but having to add 11 advanced sails made it a bit crazy. 11. Get Mechanos out of his lair until the lighthouse is completed. We found him and killed him not even realizing it was the end boss. This game has tons of potential and is a great concept. Keep it up.
Game is fun and yeah it has bugs but for me right now biggest deal breaker as a solo player is the ship building and its combat feel nerfed with its potential without npc companions fighting on my ship using weapons. Besides that with friends the game is enjoyable and it looks like it has alot of potential for future content
