Alright, after using this game engine for a somewhat decent chunk of time, I'll give my two cents on it to hopefully educate people with more information than just a simple "program bad & overpriced" without giving more details. Firstly, I think it can be very fun to use (albeit pretty frustrating at times), but I think it mainly works better as a tool to use for fun rather than to try and make games for profit off of it. The main reason I say this is that while you can make a lot of cool types of games in the software, it is very limited in specific areas being a 2D engine (and having an EXTREMELY limited 3D addon, that being Firefly). I also won't deny that I've also come across a case every once in a while where it feels like something that isn't working has no reason not to. (One simple example of this being how alterable values won't always update in Child Events.) Next, the pricing: Do I think the software is overpriced? Honestly, yes. While I understand that there's reasons the software isn't free (especially since it was seemingly coded by a fairly small team of people), I do think that it's current price certainly doesn't help bring in a lot of new users to the software. If you are going to buy it, I'd highly recommend doing so whilst it is on sale. That way, buying addons is also more reasonable (especially the plus DLC, which I recommend having along with base Clickteam Fusion 2.5 because of features like child events and Direct3D 11 support). Finally, I want to quickly clarify something: A lot of people (especially in the FNaF community, which is one of the biggest selling points for this software) will claim that the engine is very limited. While it is true that the engine's capabilities likely don't match with softwares like Godot, Unity, or Unreal Engine, it's easy to spread miscommunication of that when in reality it's the result of bad coding practices or a lack of knowledge of just how many things Fusion has to offer (especially related to object properties). You should definitely be using the help guides for the software and objects, but admittedly some things are missing help documents. Therefore, I'd also recommend trying to get into a community of people who're more experienced with the software and would be willing to help if you're gonna be serious with using this product. (One good example is the Clickteam Fusion 2.5 Discord server. Don't mention decompilation or piracy though.) So, to summarize my points: CTF can be fun to use, but works better for passion projects instead of paid projects. It is rather overpriced, so take advantage of the sale periods. Don't believe everything you hear, in this specific case focusing on blaming bad coding practices on the limitations of the engine. Of course, this is all my personal opinion. I hope this review is useful nonetheless. (One very last note: I wish Steam had an option that'd go between recommend and not recommend, such as "mixed". If that existed, that's probably what I would give this software instead.)

Pretty good but for an engine that costs $80, I expect better official documentation from the devs to learn it.

Very good for a simple point-and-click platformer, FNAF fan game, or anything "platformy" or "point-and-click". simple interface that you can learn very quickly. I highly recommend it for seasoned developers or people just getting into game development.

Thanks to Clickteam Fusion I no longer enjoy playing video games but rather creating them myself. Its a really addictive hobby when the software itself is easy to use and it only takes a few days to create a game that's better than many modern games that are currently being released these days. Thank you to everyone involved in creating this masterpiece. I haven't found a single game creation software that's even comparable.
