Judging by the reviews, I don’t think people understand what the GameGuru Max engine is or what it is capable of. On one hand you load up the engine and you have loads of mid tier assets, which is wonderfully for people to learn. But its drawback is that it quickly causes novice developers to feel that the engine is limited to a confined art style or direction. I definitely do not want this to change, instead I would like them to keep improving on the base library. But true power of this engine is when you start learning how to make your own assets and or invest some money into third party. Optimization could certainly be better, and it already had been improving almost every update. What we really need is some more base engine character customization parts, you can only retexture the same part so many times before it starts to feel too similar. Again this is an area where you can look elsewhere, but the community has not exactly got much traction in terms of making and selling character creator parts and weapons. I feel like if a few small changes for user experience were improved upon, that could turn around. I would also like to see higher fidelity options come up in the future, GGMax already looks a lot better than when I tried it a few years ago, When it comes to things like sound design relying on trigger zones gets a but annoying, as the default for NPC audio really should be higher than 4 slots. There is a dire need for more base game or at least official firearms. Having only like 6 firearm that NPCs can use without needing to spend days rigging, would be an incredible enhancement to the base engine. All of that being said, if you respect it for what it is, and use it as such, while letting your creativity run wild, GameGuru Max is an amazing entry and honestly just tool in general to have development.

Amazing game Engine ruined by bad performance issues, would like to see engine updates instead of assets..... as i paid money for the engine..... no one wants to spend more money on assets for an engine that crashes within an hour every time using it. ill keep thumbs up for now but if i don't see improvements on performance i'm going thumbs down. Edit: as of the 20th my issues are no longer there, everything feels smooth! no jitter or crashing, it seems the devs really do care :) <3.
