i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVE clickteam fusion. i bought this about 2 years ago, and to this day, its worth the $100. but thats the one thing is that its quite pricey so thats blows. other than that, its helped a lot. 10/10

I've gotten a fair amount of use out of this engine, so I figure it's only fair that I give a review now. First things first, Get it on sale (Clickteam and its exporters are pricey) That being said, most of Clickteam's visual programming competitors (Besides GMS2) have subscription based pricing for their full versions, So if you want to actually own this engine (As much as you can own a product on Steam) this is a good choice. As for the programing itself, it's very versatile and can probably make whatever it is you're looking to create (as long as it's 2D) (3D is a whole other can of worms, whether you're using the free Open GL extension or the paid Firefly DLC) Overall, I'd recommend it (on sale)

Great software. I recommend it. I recommend waiting for it to go on sale before buying it though. Much cheaper, and I don't think many of us have hundreds of dollars to throw around on most days. At least it's only a one-time purchase.

Clickteam Fusion 2.5 does have it's downsides, but if you understand basic coding logic, even if its just if/then statements, you can make some pretty interesting games. With more coding knowledge however, you can make your own systems and game-logic using extensions and a bit of magic, then about anything's possible in the engine- It's limitless! Also, it's very easy to learn understand and there's YEARS of information and help on Youtube and the Clickteam Community Hub- and they're still accepting new members! The price tag may be scary- but during the Steam Summer Sale, it can be bought for just 50$, (that's 10$ less than most triple-A games!). If you are looking to buy Clickteam Fusion 2.5 however, please splurge for the 2.5+ upgrade. It unlocks a lot of essential stuff and it's not too much more than the standard version during the Steam Summer Sale. The Clickteam Fusion 2.5 developer upgrade is out of the question though. It doesn't add too much and basically allows you just get rid of Clickteams name in your projects. Overall: Easy to learn Almost limitless (by making your own systems) Super flexible Tons of info on the web =========================================~ Would I think about buying this? Absolutely. Would I buy this at 100$? Maybe- but only if I had 100$ lying around. Would I buy this if its on sale? Absolutely. Would I buy 2.5+? Absolutely. Would I buy the Developer Upgrade? Absolutely Not. =========================================~ Overall, Clickteam Fusion 2.5 is a really good engine to make your game in, even with it being outdated. If you aren't sold yet, you can attach other coding extentsions like Lua and C++ and code your game through them. Literally. Limitless.
