I'm not sure why anyone would use this program as of today. You either use it because you used the predecessors for 30 years, or because you discovered it through FNaF. It's quite obsolete. And while it's simple to make a simple game in it, it's often harder to make something of any complexity compared to modern game engines. Maybe some people like the challenge of overcoming limitations.
This is actually one of the best game engines (in my opinion), it's simple and easy to use, the fact that five nights at freddy's was created with this game engine is absolutely insane, huge respect to the creators of this game engine, i don't blame them for the price, it's 100% worth it if you're trying to develop games (i'm not doing any kind of sponsor lol, i'm being totally honest)
