Company of Heroes is in fact one hell of a legacy for the RTS genre. Even after all these years, there are just no other RTS games that hit quite like this franchise.

10/10 would bang... This game is amazing. Every ounce of detail poured into it is easily seen. This game was released in 2k6, and still plays and feels amazing. Steam even hosts the new servers, so this game isn't going down anytime soon.

I love the micromanaging this game displays - from allowing your units to crawl, grab cover, and use grenades, to customising the items units can use as they level up. There is no resource gathering in this game unlike other RTSs on the market, which I find great as it means that the game can focus on the fights, and boy are they beautiful - amazing rag-doll physics and environmental destruction.
