Cooking Simulator is the game that lets me pretend I know what I am doing in a kitchen while actively creating crimes against food. It sounds simple: cook dishes, follow recipes, prep ingredients, plate things nicely, and run a kitchen like a functional adult. In reality, it becomes a beautiful disaster of spilled soup, flying vegetables, questionable timing, and me trying to convince myself that the steak landing on the floor was part of the process. The best part is how hands-on everything feels. You chop, season, fry, boil, bake, blend, pour, and try not to set the entire kitchen on fire because you got distracted for twelve seconds. It scratches that simulator-game itch where even the most basic task becomes weirdly satisfying. It can be chaotic, and sometimes the controls make you feel like you are cooking with boxing gloves on, but that is also part of the charm. One minute you are carefully plating a dish, the next minute you have launched a tomato across the room and are standing there like, “Well, that’s kitchen life, I guess.” I love games that turn normal jobs into oddly addictive little task loops, and Cooking Simulator does exactly that. It is funny, messy, stressful, satisfying, and occasionally makes me feel like a genius right before I ruin everything with salt. Cooking Simulator is not just about cooking. It is about confidence, chaos, and learning that the real final boss is trying to pour liquid without making the counter look like a crime scene.
I bought this game thinking I was going to be the next Gordon Ramsay. Instead, I accidentally created a particle accelerator in a 700-watt microwave because I left a stray fork on a ceramic plate.My kitchen is now legally classified as a sovereign nuclear state. The health inspector didn't even write a review, he just called the UN. I dropped a yellow gas canister from chest height and it broke the physics engine so hard my Steam account uninstalled itself. 10/10, currently writing this review from the shadow realm because Rico said "Kaboom."
Its a very fun game, you can use recipes or do whatever the heck you want-however it does get extremely frustrating. And I understand that its sort of supposed to be hard to hold or pour things, but I also know that the game's purpose for that is to get people to keep trying so they play longer-but intstead I quit playing
