May 2026
After almost 50 hours in Docked and unlocking every achievement (currently only 0.9% of players have the “Docked” achievement), I can honestly say that I loved this game. I originally found Docked while playing RoadCraft. I liked the concept there, but as someone who mostly plays single-player games, the huge maps and long travel times sometimes felt a bit overwhelming. Then I tried the Docked demo and immediately fell in love with the idea of a smaller but very active world where you can constantly do something meaningful without spending hundreds of hours just driving from point A to point B. What surprised me the most was the graphics, the variety of machinery, and how addictive the gameplay loop became. Operating machines I had never even thought about before and stacking containers like LEGO bricks somehow became incredibly satisfying. The game has a very calm and steady progression. Some missions require repetition, but I actually enjoyed that because it felt like real work inside a living port. And the moment I truly realized I loved the game was when missions started requiring logical thinking and planning instead of simply driving and transporting cargo. I think many people misunderstand what Docked is trying to be. This is not MudRunner or RoadCraft where you spend hours crossing giant maps. Here, sometimes you drive only 100 meters — but those 100 meters are filled with tasks, logistics, planning, and precision. Some jobs took me longer because I had to figure out the process myself, but for me that was part of the fun. I honestly didn’t experience any major flaws. Sure, some missions could maybe explain objectives more clearly, and I would absolutely love to see more missions, repeatable jobs, or even a community job builder in the future. Once you finish everything, the game becomes more of an open sandbox for practice and relaxation — which is still enjoyable. Docked became one of those rare games where I could play for 15 minutes or lose myself for 2 hours without noticing the time. If I had to describe it in one sentence: “A slow and easy-going task-driven simulator where you operate heavy machinery, restore and develop port infrastructure, and manage day-to-day dock operations.” Highly recommended if you enjoy relaxing but rewarding simulation games.

As a professional cargo ship sailor with over 30 years of experience, I’ve carried all kinds of cargo. Now, I’ve finally had the chance to try the stevedore's job on the land side. Man oh man, this game really brings back memories! The graphics, the mechanical details, the sounds of the machines, and the overall harbor atmosphere feel amazingly real. It truly feels like I’m at the port, doing a real job with authentic machinery. The game is very enjoyable to play. It currently features a story mode with freeplay unlocking after completion, but in the future, I hope to see a more dedicated 'pure job assignment' mode as well. At the moment, the story and tutorial structure make the playtime feel a bit short, but upcoming DLC´s will hopefully provide many more enjoyable hours of being a Docker! If you want an authentic port simulation, this is it!

Mixed review on my end. I really enjoy this game. There's a few things that irk me enough though that make it a mixed, The positives: Something about the simplicity (or complexity) of working on Cranes just satisfies me, and this game hits that spot in just the right way. Throw in the other machinery too and its a great time. I even enjoy the repairing feature too. Ultimately a very relaxing game. Even somewhat enjoy the narratives of the story. The negatives: BIG miss in not including some sort of sandbox/scenario builder mode. All the equipment and mechanics for the game would be perfect. I'd love to honestly just sit here and just move cargo while AI supplements the automation. No NPCs around make the port feel dead too. I'll leave mine as a yes for recommended but i dont know how long it will stay up. Please devs give your game a revamp and consider adding in what a lot of reviews already say.

Honestly a very fun game. You have alot to do, and many choices to pick from. Love the realism and simulation for both the cranes, trucks, shipping and so on. Not many Games in this simulation genre has this form of relism, physics, weather graphics and sounds. Even the damaged containers and so forth is good looking and quality. Now i understand this game just released today. So ofcourse there is gonna be things we want and don't want. Now.... I would realy love, that when you reach a certian point in this game, you can choose to start unloading the whole ship and ofcourse have a multiplayer option where you can play with friends on same jobs and work together. Imagen you and your buddy in each STS Crane, unloading/loading a whole container ship on a scale of a Laura Maersk. Just vibing unloading/loading. That would be so fun. Maybe even start on your own company and build up and so on. Ofcourse i have the wish where you can choose world wide for locations. and Yes iknow this require alot of work form the team and developers, but hey, It's a wish. The way i see it, this game has so much potential and options given time. Everything is good, other then the missions is a bit mini sized on how much you do and is a bit tunnel vision on how you complete them. Other then that, You learn alot from this type of work and it feels realistic. The machines sounds awesome both engine wise and siren like. Now i dont use any from of simulation setup so i don't know how this game handles that, but for keyboard, i say its in the midle. The standard setup is a bit tricky to get used to, but once u do, you feel like a dock worker for real. So for now after playing the game for 5 hours i would say 9/10 so far.

I like simulators, and I'm glad to see what port machinery looks like. Note that this game is nothing like SnowRunner though developed by the same developer, which means it's not an open world exploration, and if you are using steam deck then bad news, it runs poor on steam deck :)
