Copy Kitty is a labour of love. A passion project with seven years of polish. The kind of game that we all dreamed of creating when we were young. But is it any good? YES. The ability mixing system is incredibly fun, encouraging the player to experiment with different combinations and switch them out on the fly to replenish ammunition or handle different situations. The feeling of power you get when wielding a triple combo is amazing. The controls might take a bit of getting used to, so I recommend checking out some of the alternate control schemes if the initial setup doesn't click for you. I personally turned off the Item Menu and Command Dodge, and changed the Item Pick Up input to Drop. But learning the controls is well worth the effort once you're jumping, rolling, kicking and blasting your way through hordes of Constructs. The boss fights are a consistent highlight and only get better as the game goes on, with some of the later ones being extremely creative and unique. I was also blown away by the sheer amount of CONTENT: - Two Playable Characters, each with their own distinct mechanics and weapons. - A Hard Mode for both characters with remixed levels, enemies and bosses, plus a new story. - Endless Mode - Boss Rush - Marathon Mode - Secrets Galore - A Level Editor. And that's just the stuff I can remember off the top of my head. Copy Kitty is a criminally underrated masterpiece. It's the kind of game that makes you realize that you can make those games you once dreamed about.

This game is a hidden gem amidst a sea of not so great games. First off, the story mode. Its awesome. I haven't finished the game, but I'm on world 10 (as of writing the review) and I'm loving It. Then, we have the level editor. I LOVE level editors, and I have 41 level editors, so I think I can rate the editor. It's great. I mean, it has a Boss fight maker. Have you ever seen a boss fight maker? No, I didn't think so. Anyways, the game is great and you should buy it. 10/10 would recommend. Edit: At the time I originally wrote this review, I was on world 10 playing as Boki on normal mode. I have now finished the game as Boki and Savant on hard mode and normal mode, and I'm trying to get a gold star on every level. If you like games that provide quite a challenge, purchase this game.

I do not say this lightly: Copy Kitty is one of the greatest games I've ever played. I can't remember the last time a game consistently made me so happy, while leaving no doubt in my mind that the devs made it with genuine enthusiasm and passion. They thought of everything, went the extra mile, and just kept going and going! Play as both characters on normal and hard, play all the endless modes, the boss rushes... All of it is worth it. I can't even tell you why exactly, because it's a spoiler. Yes, hard mode can be spoiled. Heck, the boss rushes can be spoiled. Maybe I've said too much already. I have zero complaints. I just want to see more of this world and these characters some day. I really love them. Nuclear Strawberry have my utmost respect and admiration.

A young cat stands in her room. The core of Copy Kitty is light but intense action-platforming, in which you combine enemy weapons into ever-more destructive forms. Except *really* it's about obsessively replaying each level in the hopes of achieving the 'target damage' star, at which point it becomes a puzzle game about building the perfect combination of powers for each situation. Especially when played like this, Copy Kitty is one of the most engaging, finely-tuned games available - er - anywhere. The soundtrack is beautiful, the graphics are gorgeous and the story is touching. Highly recommended.
