Vibe game. I certainly wasn't in the 80's, but their atmosphere hooks me in

Love the pixel graphics and old school, hand drawn cut scenes. Gameplay is really solid! And the vibes are immaculate! Feels like Stranger Things meets Earthbound to me. A+ soundtrack.

This game is like playing a Spielberg film, with the mood of the storytelling and big moments. The friends relationships really shine in the story and lead to a nice and satisfying ending. Probably the one gripe I have is when it comes to playing through big moment levels, the difficulty goes up quite a bit and can throw the player off a lot. Not that it makes it a bad thing. It actually makes the story feel more grandios to the player. Still, you will be dying a lot. Regardless, best eight hours spent.

There is literally nothing I do not love about this game. I haven't experienced joy from a video game this way since I was a teenager. I'm not one to exaggerate either. This game nails the feel of the 80's when you're a kid. The graphics are retro styled and the animations are fantastic. The dialog is top notch, not to mention very funny, and the game is packed with hilarious hidden gems. Combat, along with each character's respective abilities are intuitive, engaging, and amusing, and most of all, the SOUNDTRACK...OMG; evocative of scores by John Williams, it is worth listening to by itself. If you love 80's classic movies, fun adventure games, and beautiful music then this game was made for you. Buy it. You will not regret it, unless of course, you're a total dork.
