Cursed Treasure 2 is a simple tower-defense strategy game where you play the bad guys. The closest comparison would be the Kingdom Rush series, although there are significant differences. From the intro, you see the character graphics are poor with those minimally drawn "googly-eye" enemies, but the pretty and colorful environments made up for it. The gameplay was very solid also. I liked levelling up and the upgrade chart between stages. Even when you lost, you gained experience so an unsuccessful run was not completely useless. However, I sometimes had infrequent crashes when failing a map (or elsewhere). Not enough to be a big issue, though. I liked the extraneous buildings on the maps, different from offensive towers, that could be upgraded and exploited, such as mines and taverns. This is something rarely seen in the genre. I liked very much being able to decide when the next wave would come because I could then better prepare. Later on, there were too many waves of enemies and this got tiresome. Half that number would have better. Only three towers but upgradable. Twice that would been better. Being stuck to one type of tower per terrain type limited placement choice, but it was also an original strategic consideration I learned to appreciate. Way too few musics, but at least they were good. From reviews I read, this PC version based on the original Flash version is better than the "Ultimate" edition that is a mobile port. Both are sold on Steam. At the reasonable price and length, with 24 stages, this little-known title in the genre deserves to be better known.

I like the game but it's oddly more expensive than the ultimate version, it's probably because the devs didn't adjust the regional pricing since release.

I opened this game thinking: “I’ll just try one level.” Three hours later I’m aggressively protecting shiny rocks from tiny heroes like they personally insulted my family. My precious… 7/10 awesome TD game

I grew up playing this game so it was super fun to return too. A few of the achievements you had to really work for but it was still really fun replaying all the levels and fully upgrading your powers
