A game that lets you make a fool out of Spider-Man and Nathan "Rad" Spencer. Tldr; The coolest game you'll find about swinging. 3 levels are awful, but the rest is pretty good Pros: + The coolest swinging mechanics I've ever seen in a game + Fast-paced, exciting, and I'd be incredibly surprised if you didn't pop-off at least once screaming "YEEESSSS" + Plataforming is responsive, and the controls are tight, making for a smooth swinging experience + Most levels are reasonable and fair, with only three levels that I thought were poorly designed. 3/111 is a good ratio + The soundtrack is pretty good + Achievements are reasonable, which is good considering that it would be reeeaaally easy to screw them up and make them impossible + This game is a speedrunner's dream + Creative ways to complete each level; Rarely will there just be a single solution to a level + Fun overworld that lets you experiment free-range swinging + DLC in case you want more Cons: - Those 3 poorly designed levels are hell to complete. The worst level in the game is called "You're Burning", and it is ATROCIOUS. You might say "skill issue" but give it a shot and then tell me how much fun you had 3 starring it. I had around 500 deaths by the time of this level, and I got the "retry 1000 times" achievement with this level. Dying around 500 times on one level is WAY TOO MUCH. Awful design. - On that same previous point, open levels are decent and exciting, but some of the closed-in levels are less fun and more on the frustrating side. It's no more than 3 or 5, but you'll remember them as groan-worthy - If you're a perfectionist or get easily motion sick, you may want to avoid this one Overall, you may want to check this one out if you like plataformers or if you want a game that's completely different from the usual market. 9.1/10

Cyber Hook is basically a grappling hook and a lot of momentum. At first it feels messy. You miss platforms, panic grapple and slam into walls. But after a few levels something clicks and suddenly you're flying through sections that felt impossible a few minutes earlier. The whole game lives from movement. Swing, release, adjust in mid air and hope the next platform is exactly where you thought it was. Levels are short so it quickly turns into one more run, one more clean swing. A few hours later the levels didn't really change. I did.

This is one of those game for people who like to restart the same level 200 times just to beat it .5 seconds faster and be top 1000 in the world. People like me. Pure speed running fun.

it's really fun, the only reason i stopped playing was to write this review. i got the game for a little over $2, and i'm definitely getting my money's worth. the movement in this game is awesome, not clunky at all and sets a really fair, but challenging pace for the user. not to mention the game itself looks pretty good graphically, i’m digging the whole vaporwave-esque, sort of retro vibe they’re trying to do here. cool colors make for a cool experience. highly recommend, especially when on sale.

Is there a part of your brain that loves graple hooks but regularly that part doesn't get scratched the right way? Do you miss the old Spiderman 2 game swinging mechanics, but want that dialled up to 1000? Would you sacrifice your wife, to implant her soul in a graple arm? If you said yes to any of the above, get this game. It's as simple as that.
