70 hours to get 100% achievements. That means beating all content in the game with the hardest difficulty, modifying enemy hp and dmg by 180%. The game Darfall as I played it is a mix of many things. It has the production line like in Against the Storm - you need multiple weapons/armour to make units and they are all obtained by crafting them in a production line involving multiple buildings. It has the swarms of enemies like in They are Billions, but it is even more similar to TaB by how a single unit can/must be used to run in circles to kite the enemies. It has Warcraft vibes with hero carrying equipment and spamming spells/skills, but items end up the RNG that makes a run easy or hard (if you don't get the good items). Darfall is many things and I like what it is. However the game still can use a lot of polish, units still walk into walls/buildings every now and then. Sometimes workers get stuck on buildings/terrain and start dropping their gathered resources on the ground. Workers also do not regenerate hp, so unless they walk back/hide in the Keep or in an outpost - they will never be healed and be easier to kill. Energy mechanic is there to limit skill spamming but I personally think it is a bit too limiting until you get A LOT of energy items. While the game can be considered complete in its current state, I think the devs can/might/should add more content that they basically game already prepared lore wise with Vampires, Dwarfs and Elves mentioned throughout the game (they aren't in game ATM). TLDR. The game is good, but it is probably very difficult if you've never played Against the Storm - because the economy management can be confusing/hard/too tedious for newcomers.

Love letter to Warcraft 3 arcade and vibes. This is a perfect RTS for a chill experience for those who grew up playing Warcraft 3 arcade modes. WC3 meets "We Are Billions". The game has an entire scenario editor just like warcraft or starcraft, so there's HUGE potential for mods and player made maps/scenarios. Full scripting support etc, so we could see all the same amazing arcade games in Darfall if the community takes off. Worth the buy. However, the game has some big missing features. - No free play and the survival maps end WAY too early. In the "survive 4 nights" maps, the final wave is like 1 guy and you maybe have 3-5 units even if you play efficiently. There's not enough time to gather resources and build units and explore the map. Some of the most fun moments in old RTS games (for me) are when you press continue after a victory and just ramp up and sweep the map. In Darfall, the moment you start to get your first T3 unit the game is already over and it boots you to the menu. The bonus objective of killing the demon portals before the last day is also hilariously impossible. You have to kill multiple boss monsters that have 10k+ HP and do 600-700 damage a swing when the strongest unit you can get has 1400 HP. I managed to kill ONE on a "survive 10 days" map on the final night by cheesing it and kiting it around towers for 10 minutes. This wasn't tested by the devs certainly. I would really love an endless mode where the enemies ramp up forever or for some progression elements between levels on the survival world map. Right now it feels like a couple of "levels" that you can replay for a better score instead of a sand box to play in. - No unit grouping or hot keys; and often times melee units will struggle trying to path when walls are involved. The game is designed to be a survival tower defense, but if you've got enemies on the other side of your walls and you send a mix of melee and ranged units to defend; the melee units will try to path around the end map to get over the wall. This wouldn't be an issue if I could individually set a "hold ground" command to a unit group of just the melee. - The game has no aggro system and is very easy to abuse. Enemies will attack the first thing that comes into range and nothing else. This means you can build an army of ranged units and have one melee unit run in circles while the ranged units safely kill the enemy NPCs.

Fun game, but def needing an endless mode - after about 7 nights you just start to get your castle and defenses setup and then the game is over.

Played through the first two missions of the campaign (so far), but I gotta say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It really scratches that Warcraft itch.
