Ironically, despite this game allowing you to play as a Nazi, I've met more Nazis on Team Fortress than I ever have in this game. All of the people are so nice to me, even though I am a filthy queer. Thank you, beautiful day of defeat community for loving to love and hating to hate.

One of the more better Source remasters, the game is really fun but quite dead nowadays, but you still always find a good full server, the gameplay feels fantastic and even...polished for a source game, the voicelines and visuals make the game feel so immersive sometimes, I still recommend buying in 2025.

no microtransactions, no battle pass, skins, good old classic multiplayer FPS game. i miss the thousands of players and mods that used to exist :(

I really missed this game. Finished a 5 year Fed prison term. Tonight was my first time playing again. I have 1520 hours total and now another 45 min. I have 99 steam games and Day of Defeat has always been my favorite. Great community of players. Good times. Wonder if I will see some new maps or game changes?

A great game, the sad part is its full of 40 to 70 year old men who have nothing to live for, and look forward to, all they do its police the fun, they take a source-mod that's literally almost 20 years old incredibly seriously, ive met multiple pedophiles in multiple servers hitting on teenage girls, (specifically adult-gamers network) if you are testosterone deficient or a woman, or sound feminine in any way, and you get caught in a game, god help you. But if you ignore all of the old farts, The game is GREAT, the guns feel nice and movement is good, this aint no call of duty, sprinting is reduced big time, and you are basically forced to rely on proper teamwork, if you are reading this, have a good day.
