A very good game, the game play is very simple but in my opinion, it works very well. the game can be beaten with only a mouse which makes learning the game very straight forward. it scratches the itch of wanting to make numbers go up in my brain and I really like it. i think the game is complete in its current state as I never had any issues with stability or felt like i needed something else to make the game interesting. the only thing that I wish could be added/changed is making the raider camps more prominent, as they never do anything. i'm not sure what they do because it was easy to get rid of them almost as soon as they appear because you'll be given more then enough police to handle all the encampments and still have 80 at the end of the game. I do wish we captured Shelby the ending left it unresolved unless I missed someting and I wish I could have brought him to justice. possibly there could be an epilogue where you have to squash a bunch of raider encampments that eventually lead to a big camp where Shelby is hiding. overall the game is very fun, and would play again if a hard mode comes out.
I found the mobile version of this game and fell in love almost immediately. The mobile version had WAY too many forced ads, so I decided to see if I could find the PC version (if one existed). I was pleasantly surprised that there was a PC version and immediately purchased it, regardless of early access. I have to say I have not been disappointed. The mine management is fun, the factory and town management is fun and I cant wait to see what the devs do next. I will say that if you arent good at micromanaging/multitasking this game may not be for you, at least not yet. There are times when I get overwhelming in trying to remember what mine has what resources and what town needs what resources/manufactured goods. It seems like the devs could add a little bit of automation to reduce the micromanagement a bit. Now I know, micromanagement is what the game is, but lets say, I have uncovered and have resources just waiting to be mined. Maybe like sub menu saying whats available to be mined, how much is there and letting me just pick how many miners to set to that resources instead of going to each individual mine and placing a miner on the specific resource node. This is just an idea and im sure there are other ways and areas that could be improved, but overall, I love this game and I am really excited to see the future updates, specifically sandbox mode and what new game plus brings.
Fun game and premise but has some UX and balancing issues, but the biggest problem with this game: The whole loop is: Find resource, set up supply chain, repeat. And unlike other resource management games - you'll be setting up THE SAME supply chain dozen of times. Each time your steel factory delivers all materials - it stops being a steel factory. 2min later a new place needs steel - you find mine or mines that have necessary raw materials, and set up this chain AGAIN. Somewhere around 60% of the game completion you wish there was not new things to build, but then boom - printing press. Boom - Trams. It's tiring. And after a while you're just tired of this game. And somewhere around this 66% mark, after a multiple run ins with stretched supply chains and dropping ratings all of the sudden you see something is broken, and fixing the clog somewhere - you realize the whatever gizmo will not make it in time and I ran out of rating and game over. Oh, and imagine after minutes of looking you've just found the resource you need, drag and drop the transport route across the map, and boom! One of the settlement just upgraded and you're yanked and pulled into a random place and you need to find your way back to whatever you were doing.
If you enjoy strategy, resource management, and building an operation from the ground up, Deep Corp is well worth playing. Its satisfying progression and atmospheric world reward careful planning while keeping each session engaging. It’s an easy recommendation for players who like thoughtful, immersive games with plenty of room to experiment.
You got a pretty good game going here. I would love to see some small QOL changes to make playing the game feel more smooth for example it would be nice to be able to hit Escape to exit the different windows rather than having to click the X to get out. This would keep it uniform with other similar games that have menus. People who play games like these muscle memory kicks in and hitting ESC is natural. I find myself always pausing because of this. Also the ability to Hover mouse over mines and trade routes to see the available carts/resources. By being able to do a quick hover this reduces click fatigue and would make for a smoother experience in my opinion. Adding a way to delete save slots and some accessibility options like increasing txt size/font for us aging gamers XD. Keep up the good work!
