TL;DR: A solid RTS with good ideas, but overpriced for now and held back by frustrating time-gated mechanics. I wish RTS devs would forget about the clock except for "hold out" mission. Let me start with this: I can’t recommend the game at its current price. 25€ for a 17-mission campaign and 9 challenge missions that can be completed in under 10 hours feels too steep. And no, this isn’t a case of “you rushed the game.” Most missions are time-sensitive, and if you don’t meet those limits, you miss out on upgrades. Locking progression behind timed “optional” objectives feels like a cheap way to push players forward rather than letting them engage at their own pace. Pros: - The gameplay is solid. Resource management feels good, enemy pressure is well designed, and the overall ambiance works. - Fighting an alien plant life that slowly floods the map is a great RTS concept (very reminiscent of Creeper World). - The game looks and feels polished. - Units are very good at driving backwards, allowing easy retreat while maintaining your fire forward. Cons: - Time-gated optional objectives that directly impact progression. I don’t mind side objectives like defending a building on the other side of the map, but forcing players to finish missions under strict time limits (while also meeting additional constraints) just to unlock upgrades feels unnecessarily restrictive. - There’s a noticeable blur when zooming out on the map. This might be a setting issue, but it consistently affected readability for me. - Units feel a bit clunky. They're so good at driving backwards that after a forward formation move, they often end up facing the wrong direction; and since they can’t shoot backwards, this creates awkward situations. - Formation is not remembered. If you forget to space out your units, they snap back into a square. Overall, it’s a good game and a welcome addition to my library. I enjoyed it and will likely enjoy it more as additional content is released; but in its current state, it’s hard to justify the price.

I just completed the currently available campaign. It is alright. I'd recommend putting it on your Wishlist but don't buy it until it is on sale. $15 at full price is a better price point imo. When compared to C&C Remastered at a similar price point it is just way more simple of a game. It is repetitive and combat with the AI forces does not feel good as their actions are basic and easy to manipulate.

This game takes me way back to my childhood of red alert. And when my pc broke I used ms paint to make maps and I would imagine this tug of war between a the blue and red brush tool. Its so good. The constant wave of attack and getting over that satisfying tipping point. Really fun. And the end game recap is exactly like my ms paint maps. So satisfying. I also haven't encountered any bugs so far. Highly recommended.

If you've ever played creeper world 4, it plays exactly like that but with a focus on units instead of turrets. its a bit expensive for what you're getting so i would recommend waiting till its had a few more updates.

Finally! Era of RTS is returning! Slowly, but returning. An innovative take on RTS genre, where your enemy is flora of the planet itself. Tactical pause + speed controls included. So far I'm very satisfied. I believe that it worth every penny that I paid for it.
