Fun little game that takes like around 2 hours to 100%. I seriously don't understand all the negative reviews that this game has gotten recently. The games only 99 cents, it's not asking you to take out a 2nd mortgage on your house to buy it. Like it's pretty gosh darn good for the developers 1st ever release on steam, what more could you expect from it. The game equivelent of the Mona Lisa??? Smh...

DEEP SPACE CACHE , is both an active and passive incremental game. For the price you can get this for, there is not much to be upset about, even if you paid less than a dollar just to discover the great lo-fi that is in the game. If you go into this game with a good mindset then you start to see that it is a great game. Deep Space Cache isn't trying to be an incremental that requires strategy, or min-maxing. The lo-fi music is a good give away that you're just meant to spend a nice afternoon or evening unwinding with the game. The skill tree requires little to no thought to advance properly, the gameplay is relaxing, revolving around a single button and no micromanaging, and the resource farming has no stress to it. However, even for the price, there is one glaring factor that really stands out: with how your skill points are generated, the game can be completely idled around 5 minutes in, and honestly requires active attention just not to accidentally let the game solve itself. PROS : - Calming lo-fi music - Relaxing skill tree and gameplay - No stress in any aspect CONS : - Game can play itself - Poor optimisation leading to dropping frames in mid to late game - Very linear progression Huge "props" to Props for the amazing music that holds the game together.

I came to Deep Space Cache after playing Deep Rock Breaker, and the similarities between the two are quite noticeable. However, Deep Space Cache leans more into being a meditative, lo-fi relaxation experience. It's less of a traditional game and more of a chill-out tool with a great, calming lo-fi soundtrack. You can just grab a coffee, turn up the volume, and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. For the price, it’s definitely worth it if you're looking for something to help you unwind. On the downside, the skill upgrade system doesn't offer much meaningful choice—you basically always pick the cheapest next upgrade, which makes the whole progression feel a bit shallow. Also, on the Steam Deck, navigating the augment menu is clunky. The L1/R1 buttons let you zoom out, but then the text becomes too small to read comfortably. In the end (it doesnt even matter xD), though, you’re just assigning points in the simplest way possible, so it’s not a huge deal, but it does detract a bit from the overall relaxation factor. All in all, I’d call it less of a “game” and more of a meditative lo-fi support tool. Just grab your coffee, turn up the sound, and relax.

Not bad, especially for the price. Relatively quick game, starts off slow and then takes off. Mix between an incremental / idler and a bullet heaven.
