Wild Growth is the best simulator of MMO healing in existence! I first heard of this Incremental game, made by Swedish indie developers, from the YouTuber "Idle cub". The beautiful pixel art aesthetic and genuinely fun gameplay had me interested from day one. The campaign is not that long but gets progressively harder and rewards experimentation and team composition. Another great factor is the prestige system that lets us play challenging and endlessly. This game expertly translates how it feels to manage or "babysit" a team and think like a MMO healer. Anyone who played MMORPG's like WoW, knows that to truly play the game one needs to play as either the Tank or the Healer. Both roles that require actual skill and experience! (unlike the DD's who boringly stand still like trees in fire and do their single-macro rotation just to measure their bih-dih numbers...pathetic play style) Wild Growth makes you experience what it's like to be such an experienced healer! By the late game, in endless mode, the player is actually kept on edge and starts feeling like a bullet hell. I've checked out other healer type games like "Looking for Heals", "Healed To Death" and "Mini Healer" but they each lack something. While they each do something unique which I wish Wild Growth 2 would have in the future, some are straight copies of the basic MMO experience, at that point why not just play WoW, SWTOR or Guild Wars 2 as healer? Nah, what we need is the "FEELZ lika Healer" vibe. Wild Growth delivers exactly that. While I may not be the biggest fan of the Incremental genre, this game excels in every department, be it music, art or the fluid controls. Very cheap game, even cheaper on sale.
Thanks to honorable mention in the credits of "Master Healer Kale with useless party" I found this game and had the pleasure of playing two really nice and entertaining healing games. Great campaign and a nice three staged (bronze, silver, gold) challenge mode with different mechanics after playing through the campaign. Great game.
Solid game, I love healing in MMO's so I was looking for another game like this. Actually bought it because it was mentioned in the end credits of master healer kale and the useless party. Took about 3 hours to beat. The last boss is pretty annoying as it's hard as hell to tell what is going on but pretty easy once you start paying attention to who's getting aggro. Tried the new game plus mode and feel like I got my fill after 5 levels. If you REALLY like the game then you'll enjoy new game plus, as they make the spells more powerful.
I loved this! I expected some sort of idler or clicker, but this was way better. It condenses the fundementals of healing in a RPG party into a short incremental game. It felt like going back to healing in WoW. It starts simple, then adds mechanics progressively. This was worth every minute. I really can't recommend this game enough.
