Deliver Us Mars Positives: + Fantastic idea + Good graphics + Great sounds + Gorgeous music + Very atmospheric + Beautiful and very detailed space ships, stations, landscapes and nature + Excellent storytelling + Cinematic + Marvelous voiceacting + AYLA + Exploration is rewarded + Cool puzzles + Nice platforming + Driving around in the Mars rover + A bit more variation in gameplay than expected + FOV adjuster + Chapter selection + The accessibility option (thank God!) + DLSS and FG + Good length (about 10 hours) Negatives: - Its still forced third person and first person view (haven't you learned anything since last time?) - FOV only goes up to 105 (it should to be at least 120+) - Climbing function is quite poorly executed and feels clunky (gets very frustrating at times, partial fix below) - The character models and animations are not top tier - The bugs and glitches - The game is generally quite unstable (expect sudden quits and error messages) - Framerate drops here and there - Some unnecessary invisible walls Conclusion: So is this game better than Deliver Us The Moon? Yes it is. Does it have new problems that wasnt there in the first game? Yep. But did they solve any of the problems from the first game? Only the FOV adjuster. Will the last game fix all the problems from these two games and finally make the last one flawless? Not likely, but we are allowed to hope. Im surely looking forward to the last part of this triology: Deliver Us Home. As for this game, wow, its so amazing in many ways beside all the trouble mentioned above (dont get me started on some of the wall climbing parts!). Its still got the ability to get you sucked right in, and the storytelling is so beautifully executed along with the fantastic voiceacting and music. So if you liked the first game, you're absolutely gonna love this one as well. If you havent played any of these games, start with the first one, because its all connected storywise. So do I reccommend Deliver Us Mars? Highly and without a doubt! Total Score: 8.5/10 Wall climbing fix: - Go to options - Select accessibility - Turn on the following: toggle climbing axe and start climbing with one button - Now climbing will be a bit easier Fix for low framerates: - Go to options and graphics - Turn off the following: grooms and all of the ray tracing parts - You can also turn down overall quality from epic to high or medium - Go to options, display and upscaling: - Turn on DLSS and FG (if your graphics card doesnt support it, choose FSR instead) - If DX12 fails to be stable on your system, switch to DX11 (go to options, display and change renderer)

a beautiful game. not perfect, but still has a great storyline, gorgeous graphics, and immersive gameplay. even if i wish we had more choices in the game and i got frustrated a few times during puzzles and character dialogue, i still think this is one of my favorite games. it's so good i had to purchase it twice. it's worth the price and i can't wait for the next game to come out. if you love space and puzzles you need to play!

Game....is this a game? not really. It's a novel with some interactive puzzles. Which is not to say it's bad...it's a well enough told novel, but the "game play" only just barely fails to avoid getting in the way. The laser puzzles only barely rise above "do the only thing you can do". The climbing sections are barely a skill check, and the decryption puzzles are just a chore. That said, they're all 3 very well executed, controls are well executed, nothing is unclear. But they don't add anything...good thing is, they're aren't that many of them. JUST enough to slow down the story... This would make a pretty decent indie movie. There's some interesting scifi thought provoking concepts and situations. It asks questions worth asking, and doesn't heavy hand you an answer. Thumbs up for the novel. Thumbs down for the game, but since it's not a game, that doesn't matter much.

This game is a huge improvement over Deliver Us the Moon. You can now rebind keyboard controls, it supports widescreen monitors, the controls are much tighter and much better. The graphics, sound and atmosphere are still great. Absolutely amazing hard sci-fi here. There are still some ridiculously impossible things, but its a game, its ok. On the other side, there's way too much useless drama. I would have liked a more serious story like in the first game. The game is still completely linear, you don't get to make a choice ever. Also, the climbing controls are totally awful. You can fix them somewhat if you turn on all the accessibility options for it, however, you will still drop randomly from climbing surfaces forcing you to start over again and again. Other than the bad climbing controls though, there's little to no challenge in the game. It's truly a walking simulator like the first game. But its a walking simulator that takes you in space and on Mars, so it's worth your time if you like this kind of game. I eagerly await the next game in the series.

Yes, the game is at times a bit buggy, and yes, the body & face expressions and animations could have been a bit more detailed and refined. But oh my god, what a masterpiece. It's a great continuation of the overall story. The scenery sometimes is breathtaking, the soundtrack has some great gems, and at the end, I couldn't help myself but to play 4 hours continuously until the story was finished - so thrilling. As a father, I enjoyed the story very much, and you can tell the studio likely included some of their own life experiences. It felt very real. Can't wait for your next game.
