Decent graphics for a 2018 game, with satisfying destruction sounds and visuals, and a good story with buying different tools and vehicles. I did notice that some missions register as complete before all the debris has been cleared/destroyed and the physics could be better, the pickup truck front suspension goes up when braking instead of down! Aside from this it's a satisfying game. D&B 3 would probably be a better pick now as it's lots newer.

The game is 100% complete. I finished it in 30 hours and managed to complete all the achievements. When I was playing on the last island, it was already boring, even though they let me operate a construction crane. But I would remove the construction elements from this game altogether, leaving the focus on destruction. Because construction is very tedious and not very fun. It's very primitive. Yes, the destruction here is not a masterpiece of technology, objects break according to their own logic, but it's still better than just putting walls in a green zone and having them automatically magnetize. The graphics and physics were bad for 2018, but even in 2026, this game feels like it's from 2007-2008. But overall, it's a good game where you can sit down and destroy buildings with construction equipment.

a little over 1 hour into the game and I enjoy it. Big fan of sim style games so this scratched that construction itch. A couple gripes is the pretty awful control setup and some of the essential gameplay options are not described but I would definitely say a worthy sale option if you are looking for a good Sim style game.

Demolish & Build 2018 does exactly, what name promises. You get to go demolition work with heavy machinery. That feels satisfying, feeling man made machine chewing rocks and walls. Construction side is pretty fun too. And explosives! Game is bit unpolished and slight issues with controls. Some machines have almost good controls, but others could feel wrong. But if you get past those, there is decent game with story(?). OK, at least new heavy machine as you progress. Game is open world, and you can drive around. Mostly just to watch scenery. You cannot enter anything else than construction sites. Recommended if you like heavy machinery.
