the game is just fantastic, works well on linux, very light on most 2015+ hardware, but it has some problems, clutched gears just don't work on high speeds, the handling is horrible (i mean, vehicles just "jump" at high speeds or lose control) i don't know if aerodynamics work or not, it seems like just placebo i highly recommend, better than most games in the category, ignoring high speeds, it works well, it has small gears, and wow, the only problem i've seen in 25h of play time is the physics limits
it's crazy hard to figure out right car geometry without googling but absolutely worth it. the possibilities this games gives you are mindblowing. graphics, good physics, decent optimization, sheer depth, enormous creativity potential and just cosy atmosphere - all these make this game brilliant. P.S. see how trashy your car is in practice :) recommend! 9/10 P.P.S dear dev, please add support for water/underwater vehicles and physics and flying vehicles! the more components are available - the better! it will expand the game's variety a lot. ideally, make it like Stormworks but with serious physics and with more low-level components
GearBlocks is a game I dreamed about. There are gears… a lot of gears… more than a lot of gears. I mean, Scrap Mechanic, Trailmakers or Stormworks are great games and made me childhood (especially Scrap), but any of those games dosen't have things I played for... GEARS and other gearlike things, but GearBlocks has it and I love it. Game has still work to be done with, but dev is working hard. GearBlocks is really the best game about gears and other mechanical, fancy, spinning and moving things!
