GearBlocks is a game I dreamed about. There are gears… a lot of gears… more than a lot of gears. I mean, Scrap Mechanic, Trailmakers or Stormworks are great games and made me childhood (especially Scrap), but any of those games dosen't have things I played for... GEARS and other gearlike things, but GearBlocks has it and I love it. Game has still work to be done with, but dev is working hard. GearBlocks is really the best game about gears and other mechanical, fancy, spinning and moving things!

GearBlocks is an incredibly fun game that is absolutely worth buying, especially for people who love building with LEGO Technic but always find themselves running out of physical bricks. It’s essentially a digital playground for mechanical engineering. The game has a bit of a learning curve and can be slightly overwhelming at first. However, it’s not impossible to master—it took me less than 20 hours of playtime to wrap my head around every aspect of the mechanics. Once you understand how everything connects, the possibilities are endless. That being said, the game isn't without its flaws. There are two main bugs/issues that I find particularly frustrating: 1. Attachment Bridging Issues: Parts mounted using the attachment bridging tool often shift their positions after saving and reloading a build. This frequently results in the entire mechanism breaking or simply not working as intended when you load it back up. 2. Component "Flex": There is currently no way to remove the inherent flexibility or "slack" in hinges, gears, differentials, and CV joints. This causes a lot of stability issues; for example, cars often rock back and forth uncontrollably when you tap the throttle, and in some cases, it prevents complex machines from functioning properly at all. Despite these bugs, the core experience is great. If you enjoy tinkering with mechanical systems and want a deep building simulator, GearBlocks is the way to go. I just hope the developers address these physics and saving issues soon!

Probably the best "engineering" game out there. This game just gives you a lot of options, espescially with the logic update. Unlike other engineering games, making things might take you a few days which is what makes it fun for me. And if you want to, you can refine that build for like a month or so if you wish to do so. I would say this game is underrated and more people should play this. The physics in this game I would say is decent enough, not really on the glitchy side or too rigid side. One thing I can say though, I made a motorcycle in this game that actually stabilizes itself due to the steering geometry and not via active gyro which is not a thing that can be done in many engineering games. Also, the fact that you can sort of "mash" parts together is a huge plus for this game cause in other games it is kind of a bug or an unintended feature.

This is one of the best building games imho. Ever wanted to build a car with W16 engine? You can. A tiny tuk tuk with a single cylinder 2 stroke engine? You can. You can build differential, transfer case, double wishbone, solid axles, McPherson strut, multi link, watts link, sway bars and friction dampers - There is almost nothing you can't do in this game when it comes to mechanical contraptions. Let your imagination unfold! Also there is an upcoming update which will introduce logic to the game. Absolutely recommend 10/10

Peak engineering sandbox game. I honestly have no idea how this game is this optimized in an era where I expect 50fps average from games that don't even have proper physics. But, I'm not going to sugar coat it, this game is extremely off putting to new players with the complex controls and UI for example. However, you'll be surprised how intuitive and powerful the controls are once you give it a bit of time. Also, I actually learned things about how real cars work from googling how to do stuff in this game, so that's a bonus.
