Other than an occasional crash, this is a fantastic game. I enjoyed it as much as the first one. I’d love to see the 3rd one remade as well.

Much like the first remake of DaH 1, yea this was really good! They did cut a quest from the game, the quest being 'Take it like a man' where a gentleman wants to have gender surgery. Lot of folk weirdly upset but honestly, the quest didn't add much to the game overall was like, a couple minutes long and just running around. I can understand why they'd do it, though I'm not sure what offense could be drawn from it overall, but eh better safe than sorry I s'pose. Much like the first remake some missions can be a bit grindy but that's alrighty. Though an actual slight negative, some reason it doesn't utilize steam networking for co-op play which honestly would've bee really cool to play with a friend online instead of the screen share thing. It still has that couch co-op splitscreen thing goin though so that's nice. It looks flashy, plays well, barely any glitches or bugs encountered. I'd say I got my money's worth of it revisiting a childhood game redone like this. But also like the first, the price is asking a bit much, then again I'd consider this maybe a double A type thing. Pay as is or wait for a discount. Also for fans of the old game they did change the ending cutscene's setting but that's about it.

Black Forest Games are probably one of the best studios in the current gaming industry. Their ability to take an old franchise and essentially rebuild it from the ground up with huge respect to the original games is something other studios remastering/remaking games should follow example of. If you enjoyed playing Destroy All Humans 1 and 2 for the PS2/Xbox you'll enjoy the remakes as well! The only real criticism is that after Bay City, I did experience a lot of small but noticeable bugs and performance issues despite having a good setup. Idk if that's an engine issue or if they skimped on optimisation on some levels but they definitely take away from the experience. Also in Tokoshima, trying to throw mech robots can cause them to just freeze in the air and they just get stuck. Again not a game breaking bug but definitely not one you can ignore. It's weird too because they had the same thing in the first remake but the robots didn't freeze in the air. I also had a few Unreal engine crashes during gameplay. But anyway the fact they managed to remake these old games with such detail and only a few minor bugs is still better than most massive studios like Rockstar Games can achieve so they still get a W from me.

A fun jump back into a very nostalgic game for me. I highly recommend if you played the OG and if you haven't.

Fun! Always wished I had this game on PS2, and it lived up to expectations. Even better than the first game, lots of maps and lots to do in them.
