BroForce meets Rainbow Six | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW First of all: this is a spin-off of the original game. Imagine the action, the fun and the humor of "BroForce" mixed with the strategic and tactical action of "Rainbow Six", and this is "Door Kickers: Action Squad". It's peak gaming, but I can't give a 9 because the levels could have been slightly more and the replayability is not that great (enemies are placed in fixed spots). It has a 2 player co-op mode, but it's lot of fun even solo (I only played it so). Best played with joypad Recommended buy price: 10$ Score: 8,5/10
Door Kickers: Action Squad is a fun retro 2D action, shoot'em'up game. It's very adrenalinic and fast-action oriented, but also tactical. The pixel graphic is poor but the this game is all about the gameplay which done very well. You can chose one of the 5-6 SWAT or military roles, each with their own perks to level up and chose, in order to annihilate various criminal gangs. The game has lots of content: you have 84! levels divided into 7 acts, + you have various challenges and other modalities like zombie mode and infinite tower mode. It has to be noted: the acts are increasingly difficult. The last 3 acts are not easy. You will have to try and re-try lots of times many levels in order to pass them. After a while you will also want not only to pass the levels but to pass them perfectly ( with 3 starts ), and in order to do that you must pass each level without accidentally killing any hostage. Even if you accidentally kill 1 hostage ( which is very easy to do!), you get 2 starts instead of 3. So it's very challenging but after a while you can master the game and do it. This is one of those games that seem very hard at the beginning but with enough grinding ( of the class levels and skills ), and with a little memorizing of the levels, I was able to pass all levels, and most of them with 3 stars. It has also tactical elements because in addition to class skills you have tactical gear that can aid you like healing kits, body armor, breach charges, extra life, bombs, sniper support etc....and there is an extra counter that fills up. The more you kill bad guys the more the counter fills and so you can order tactical gear. So this game is much more serious that one could think at the beginning. It has excellent music. There is no story whatsoever unfortunately, and that is a minus. But I had a lot of genuine entertainment so that is what counts for a positive review.
