great game and prob my favorite because it's split into 3 races that all feel different and relatively unique. the game itself and the franchised is quite fun being able to manage but due to the differences this is the best game

It is often said that blending certain things might not make too much sense, yet once you combine RTS game with humor that blends Dragon ball Z, Lord of the Rings and what ever pop culture reference I might have missed you get Dungeons 2. I have to say that the game is a lot of fun and the narration absolutely kills it, making it sometimes impossible to focus on task at hand and roll off the chair from laughter while trying to manage my dungeon and army on surface. Its a good game scratches that itch for new a dungeon keeper. I wish it took itself more seriously and wasn't trying so hard to be funny but there are so few evil overlord sims that we take what we can get. I like the mix of dungeon creator and over world rts elements. Can be a bit too easy at times but over all a decent game.

I was looking for a Dungeon Master kind of game and randomly found this one while browsing Steam. And it's amazing !

This is the first game I've played in the Dungeons series so I can't comment on pros/cons compared to 1, 3, or 4. What you see is what you get. If you like Evil Genius or Dungeon Keeper style games, you'll probably get some enjoyment out of Dungeons 2. I don't think the whole "command a squad on the overworld map a la Warcraft III" works very well, though. I prefer focusing 100% on the dungeon. Evil Genius 2 suffers from a similar problem where you have to tab between the fun part (lair/dungeon) and the not-so-fun part (map/overworld). Even so, for like $5-10 bucks on sale it scratched the lair building itch. Also, many reviewers mention the game's narrator. Yeah, he's a bit annoying, but after the first few missions his blathering becomes background noise. Like a lot of videogame writing from the past 10-15 years, the narrator's lines are too clever by half but I don't think it ruins the whole game.
