More addictive than crack cocaine, sample with caution beware of time distortion, your life will derail, unemployement will prevail, sparse blinking and cogs ticking... day to night to night to day and time goes on it's merry way

Tried for couple hours, didn't understand - I Quit. Came back after 2 years, tried another couple hours - I Quit. Came back another 1 year, had to reset my game 3 time (due to chronic OCD) for me to really locked into the game. Now I've Completed my first Dyson Sphere on my first Star after 135 Hours of brainstorming. One of my top listed game.

what a game. at the time of writing this, i have just begun constructing my first dyson sphere. the only word i can think of to describe it is euphoric. watching the culmination of all your efforts assemble into a dazzling array of sails and pylons of YOUR design, it's just.. man. what a game.

I get that Factorio is the gold standard for this genre, and that Dyson Sphere basically copied 80% of the meta (build factories for better factories for better information for more research), but despite the many similarities it really transcends into a different game because of the space & exploration aspect. It's really a beautiful game and often I catch myself just admiring my own newly built Dyson Sphere. And after slowly getting more upgrades you travel to different planets, go to different stars, exploring black holes & neutron stars. And eventually you build an entire synced factory between all the star systems, which really makes you feel this sense of insane scale. And by the end, the insanely big universe starts to suddenly feel small, until you completely zoom out on the starmap... and see that the universe you've been playing in is just a barely visible dot. No other game can really make you feel that way.
