In my opinion, a straightforward but bittersweet story. Although I would've liked to see more, it was certainly satisfactory. You could tell the developers poured a lot of love into this game, seeing that simply backgrounds and sprites looked incredibly stunning and the sheer amount of CG despite the game length.

My brain just felt tingles at the end & could barely sleep. (It was around 2 - 3 AM at the time) Probably one of the best endings I've ever read. The slowest of all burns.

STORY: Very moving, it is first and foremost an emotional journey, superbly well written and developed, about the protagonist, his relationship with those around him, their background story, and his eventual relationship with the main female character of the story. The novel has strong background side stories and themes, such as genetic engineering, social instability, and interstellar travel, and I feel the story could have expanded on these themes, without detracting from the main story, and that could have helped explain certain elements of the latter better. It certainly leaves plenty of space for a future sequel, focusing in one of the side characters, though. The ending is highly predictable, not helped by the prologue and the full game name which just happen to sum the ending up. ARTWORK: Sprites are stunning and magically well drawn, well posed, and animated to boot. Tons of different CGs available, which are wonderfully and seamlessly well integrated into the flow of the story, and are also animated, to the point many it is hard to differentiate some of them out of a regular scene. SOUND: 32 sound tracks that offer a ton of variety and are wonderfully composed and integrated to the flow of the story. The Japanese voice acting is superb, including the male protagonist, a rather uncommon finding in a sea of VNs that omit the voice acting for the latter. OTHER ISSUES: The main issue with the game is its archaic UI, which works well enough but is not exactly user friendly. Content such as CGs and music are only accessible off-story after its completion, I would have preferred if they were unlocked and immediately accessible as they appeared throughout story. There is a R18 DLC. I do not recommend it though, as it does not integrate well with the main story at all, and just detracts from it, and its moving emotional experience. SUMMARY: Overall, a highly moving, even if predictable, novel, of high quality, and very well priced for the content offered. 9/10

Really cute and wholesome, gets a little boring by the end though.

They were only two, on the planet. They were only two, in the story. They were only two, from the start to the end.
