Steins;Gate before Steins;Gate became a thing! I've watched the anime YU-NO a few months ago and it made me fell in love with the series. I didn't even know about the VN when i watched the anime so after finishing it i did some research and found out there is VN which is supposed to be really good. So i bought the remake on steam on sale. Was it worth it? 100%! If you did watch the anime and you wanna know more about the world, story, characters etc then you should play this game for sure! The CGI looks great, music sounds really good and always fits the current scene You can intract with a lot of stuff, go wherever you want and not many VN's allow you to do that. Keep in mind tho, the game is really old (the original) and there is not many guides out there if you wanna go for 100% like myself. So its a bit of struggle to 100% this game. Before i bought the game i've heard a lot of negative things about the remake which i can not agree on. A lot of people said its censored, there is no h scenes, its bad compared to the orginal and so on. Thats all not true. The game is not censored, the original had NO h scenes only some nudity and its not censored at all in the remake. (Check my YU-NO screenshots) My personal thoughts why i like this game a lot and why its my favorite VN besides Steins;Gate: The MC might be dumb, but he is not a complete idiot which makes everything more fun and natural. I love his kind of "horny humor" - He always has something stupid to say. (almost) Everytime he intracts with a women he's gonna say something stupid for sure! If you're not into that kind of humor then you'll hate the MC and the game a lot. The game takes it self somewhat serious but not completely. As i said in the title, its Steins;Gate before Steins;Gate became a thing but with a horny MC. If you don't mind that then you should get this game on sale for sure! (not full price) tl;dr: Good remake + Steins;Gate + Horny MC + Sci-Fi + Bunch of hot women = YES.

Decent but only worth buying during a sale. The translation is pretty bad compared to the original but it's not the worst. The new art + voice acting + OST are all pretty nice

I went in with no expectations (I saw the anime of this like 5 years ago and it was dog poop) I ended up liking it. I can definetly see how this game was very revolutionary back in the day. While I agree that the backtracking is quite annoying I think it pays off for the "true ending" (which basically feels like a second game/story). Also I definetly have to mention how absolutely fantastic the soundtrack is; I'm happy you can switch between original and remake ost. The remake ost is also quite good. Overall it was worth my time and money.

Interesting title i must say, Not big fan of this Mages game after finishing everything you can. But its not the worst thing I've played. The entire savesystem / branching system was very interesting for me but i wouldn't have minded if they even censored this version bit more tbh. Was having hard time streaming this to my sister when there were so many moments id rather just closed the stream. . Still would like to replay the game in its original 97-98 version with much as censoring as this though cause the original art is ageless. Apparently original was hentai VN so.

Lots of nostalgic comments comparing this game to the original PC-98 version. It's not a 10/10 game but I still think it's worth playing even as someone who's never played the original. [*] Making use of a navigable flowchart is interesting and I can see how it influenced its successors. [*] Nothing to complain about in the first 80% of the game - great pacing, memorable characters, natural dialogue, amazing soundtrack and a very funny protagonist. [*] The epilogue / true route feels underwhelming and very rushed despite having the potential to be developed into a whole separate sequel. The way the mysteries are revealed at the end is still satisfying though. [*] Overall one of my favourite VNs - one that doesn't tire me out after hours of reading. I'm still not sure why I liked it so much, maybe I just enjoyed all the cliche anime stuff.
