I understand why some people are disappointed with the current lack of content, but the heavy negative reviews feel unfair given the game's development status. This is an Early Access title, meaning it is openly a work in progress. A lighter content load is to be expected at this stage; that is the entire point of this release model. Launching early is a practical move that allows the developers to gather player feedback and build out features based on community input. If they had released this as a finished, full-price product in this exact state, then the criticism would be completely justified. However, judging an unfinished game by full-release standards misses the point. If you want a complete experience, it is probably best to hold off until the final launch. Otherwise, it is worth giving the team a chance to build the game up.
Titanfall 3 this is not. But. The movement is sublime and the gunplay feels great. This is the first competitive movement shooter that feels like its actually built off the bones of Titanfall's movement. Slide hopping, grappling, bunny hopping... It's all here plus more without feeling overwhelming. Seriously. If you have the Titanfall 2 slide-hop burned into your muscle memory like me, try this game's movement. It'll feel like you're right at home. At time of writing there's only 5 maps and they all feel distinct and well designed for the movement. The weapons, while slim (there's only 1 shotgun, for example), all feel like they have distinct identities and all have multiple valid builds. $20 feels like it's perfectly priced for where it's at. There's no bugs and so far the developers have been responsive to community feedback even though the game's been in early access for a few days. If you see gameplay and think it looks fun, it's probably for you.
Mix between halo infinite gunplay and titanfall movement, genuinely a very good game for early access. If the devs keep it up with good updates, balancing, movement, guns, etc. I think this has a huge amount of potential. Have not had this much fun on a new fps game in a while. Good work!
