For me is Etherlords 2 my nostalgy game from childhood and even nowadays enjoyable. Considering the time of creation the visuals, camera, models, sounds, dubbing and story are really attention grabbing and after playing few battles you dive really naturally in the story awaiting how it unfolds further. Besides the gameplay which is unique combination of tactical based strategy but in addition with dynamic effects (casting, sounds, moves) which will draw you in and you feel that you are enjoying it as whole. I really recommend this game especially to older-game lovers :)

I liked the game for its card mechanics. You get lots of different cards during the four campaigns which allow for limitless deckbuilding options and creative gameplay. On the downside there are a few unbalanced fights in the game that you not only need the right decks to win, but also luck on the drawing sequence of your cards as well as your opponent's cards. Also, the storytelling is not the strength of the game and it did not make much of the world it creates. The time between fights you walk around the landscape with no overview and crude 3D angles that did not make we want to explore. But you have to do this to find resources to buy new cards -worst part of the game. The game shows that it is more than 20 years old. But for the core gameplay of deckbuilding and fighting a thumbs up for this oldie!

This game fuckin slap. I have over a hundred hours in this game from when I was a kid and played it all the time. This game spoiled me for single player card games. The cards have almost no semblance of balance and you can make ultra broken strategies as well as tune ones to be amazing against specific NPC decks, it’s great. Good voice acting; love the accents.
