Just finished the game, and I am not going to pull any punches, as I never do. There are some issues that need to be addressed like the accidental grabbing of items on the belt without realizing it, falling through the map when venturing in the deeper corners of an area looking for secrets, and trying to figure out how to keep multiple items/weapons on your person and what to get rid of that is no longer the newest weapon. The item grabbing and falling through the map issues I have faith will be addressed by this team. I don't know about the too few item/weapon slots. I like to carry a lot, so maybe that's just me. I did manage to take the Flashlight from the very beginning of the game all the way to the very end. I liked it better than the Crystal Lights. LEVEL DESIGN: Now let's get to what I loved about this game. The atmosphere and ambiance was spectacular! There was a lot of love put into the design of not just the design of the levels, but the very look of them. At no point did it feel like things were copied and pasted as far as the cavern walls. They looked like every part was designed, and not just copied, rotated, twisted, and placed. Everything was awesome to not just look at, but be in that world. The dungeon caverns were that itch that needs to be scratched if you are a Dungeon Crawler Sword and Sorcery fan. It was just so fricking awesome to be in that world... So much so that I do have a gripe about it... It's not enough! I want it to be more expansive. I want a full Dungeon Crawler game from them. I am talking a craving hunger for 100 floors of monsters. When you get to the Hell type part, it really REALLY needs more! COMBAT Now the combat in this game is good, but still lacking. It isn't terrible, far from the crap I've played in other games, but leaves you wanting more since it feels like it is borrowing from Blade & Sorcery, but not enough to make it as versatile. It seems as if stabbing is useless so this is mostly a slashing and bashing combat game along with the use of 3 different kinds of combat Magic. This isn't designed as a combat game, but holy hell does it need more of it since you are basically playing a giant dungeon crawler game. The monsters are terrifying in looks and movement. The sound design in this is beautifully scary. Even if the combat against them isn't terribly difficult, the sounds they make are chilling, and the quality of those sounds is insanely good. Well done on that for sure. This game just needs more combat, because there are so many places where it would add to the levels. They are too few and far between. STORY: I am not going to spoil any of the story here, but it blends something akin to Heavy Metal Magazine culture in it. I absolutely love Heavy Metal Magazine to the point where I was the first online to gather every issue digitally, and even managed to get some digitized in order to have the full complete collection for future archiving. I absolutely love the works of Frank Frazetta, Luis Royo, Ken Kelly, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, and many others. The story isn't complex, and it's more in the background of the game, and there are bits and pieces here and there. It definitely has a fun flavor to it, but this game isn't story heavy. It sets up why you are in the crazy world, and every once in a while it pops its head in when you get to particular areas in order to build the story slightly more. I don't mind that it takes a backseat in the game, as it doesn't need to be front and center through it. I know things go wonky, I know I am in another world, and I know I must try to find my way through it. I really liked the merging of something that seems epic, and something that seems goofy, and actually making it work. It's a creative way to build the world the game takes place in. OVERALL: This is more heavily a puzzle game with insanely good design when it comes a VR experience. So many other dungeon games fail at making the level design look amazing and immersive. These Dev's have an IMMENSE amount of potential. It's a small Team of supposedly only 4 people. The textures are so good. The sound is amazing. The monsters look awesome. The game is easily beaten under 8 hours if you don't screw around like I do. The game feels like it is a newborn epic mythic masterpiece that has immense amount of potential in expansion, but this is just a taste. The flavor is very satisfying, but the portion isn't filling enough. I am going to need more. I am going to need the sequel to grow towards its potential. I am very happy to have bought this game, for both the experience I just had, and to support a Dev Team that clearly is inspired, passionate, and capable. Their communication is top notch, and they deserve full support from the VR community. BUY THE GAME! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the Dev's directly, WTF is that hellish screaming under the prison?! That is unnerving! I slow walked around after killing the 2 enemies there because I thought the ground was going to fall out from under me, and I was going to be in a nightmare. Truly an awful series of sounds down below, and you ABSOLUTELY MUST make your players experience whatever level that would be. Also, the Hell level with the Lava is needing so much more in both exploration, monsters, and combat. They were so good, and it needed to be far longer frightening experience.

I really like this game. It's very close to Alyx in terms of quality and gameplay mechanics. The only thing I hate about it is that you can only save at checkpoints and there are long cutscenes, so when you die, you have to keep going through the cutscenes over and over again and it gets so annoying. If they could implement a save as you go format, it would improve the game so much.

This is closer to a neutral review than a positive, but steam only has that two options. EXD is a linear action adventure game about An Amazon warehouse worker named Max Ventura who gets isekai'ed (transported to another world) to the world of Erath, a fantasy world where Amazon products are sacred relics but are corrupting your world. you are the chosen one an must bring order back to this world. and When I say "this world" it's mostly dark caves you spend 99% of the game in various dark caves and tunnels it really doesn't feel like a 'word' so much as a glorified sewer The game has 'physics' based combat and movement, but it feels kind of barebones, you can't jump so its easy to get stuck on the uneven ground, after crouching you sometimes don't return to full height. combat is also physics based and its fine but not really anything to write home about basically it only just works swing sword jank enemy into a sort of stunt lock or knock em over rinse and repeat. The Puzzles and Level designs are all quite amateur too which makes sense this is this studio's first game, but also it does just make it fine. It reminded me quite a bit of Shadow Legend VR in a lot of ways, very ambitious stuff for an obviously small and indie VR Dev team. I had fun with the game but it also just feels a little dated, in the gameplay and very scripted sequences. I recommend it because its still enjoyable if not great, and if nothing else I really would like to see these developers grow their experience and potentially their next game will be Great . The game also took my 4.4 hours to complete though if you look for all the secrets it will take longer

Amazing so far! It's crazy to see few finding fault with this game. Of course it's not perfect, If we keep not backing the VR industry there will be nothing left but slop to play. These guys clearly put their heart in making this game and I hope its successful enough to show other developers it's worth making VR content. Thanks for a great experience.

This is how a VR game should be. Graphics, good VR handling, good gravity, PhysX, storyline, it's been a long time since I experienced a game like this.
