This is, in my opinion, the best fallout game. New Vegas is still PEAK dont get me wrong, and fallout 1 and 2 are absolutely fire. But fallout 3 and the CAPITAL wasteland just hits so different. yeah it has its flaws, but coming into fallout 3 as my first fallout game, it was SO awesome seeing the brotherhood, and the enclave at war for the first time. this game is baller, and don't let haters keep you down for enjoying PEAK

This is a good precursor to Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4. The controls and graphics are just like New Vegas. However, it would not run in Windows 11 as downloaded from Steam. It took me a bit of searching for the solution to run it in Windows 11, but Reddit and the Steam forums helped me find the solution. There is a dynamic link library (.dll) file that needs to be added to the game folder. Another glitch was that Steam couldn't keep an accurate game time. No matter how long I played, it never advanced beyond five minutes playtime. Luckily, the mod to solve this issue was online as well. Now, the game works as it should and is a blast to play. A lot of people criticize Bethesda, but I will say that in all my years of playing PC games, the Fallout series is the most enjoyable gaming I've ever experienced. Sure, there are glitches and bugs, but these challenges exist in all technology. I can only hope Bethesda stays true to its original goal -- create a great game that is an investment in fun with no pay walls or forced antiquation. Peace and Goodwill.

Really good game, I played it a ton on ps3 but I got it on steam and played through it after my mom past away. it's made me think a lot about how me and my dad get along and are similar but we also argue and get on to each other a lot about stuff. when I was doing the main quest when I had dialog options with lone wander's dad it was pretty much like talking to my own dad. it warmed my heart. definitely a top 5 role play game. pick it up when its on sale and if you have a low power computer made after 2010 it can most likely run it. the only down side is that it doesn't have any achievements.

Possibly the game franchise with the most specific, odd-ball you-had-to-be-there-to-understand sense of humour. I miss the RPG aspects they kind of ruined in 4 and 76. So every now and then I come back to 3 and New Vegas. I just miss being there. They are like old friends.
