The action-packed jungle adventure that calls you back every once in a while for another playthrough. Too bad Ubi$oft lost it's magic with the newer titles, arguably 5 being the last decent one. Also, **** Ubisoft Launcher for making me log in every time I start the game.

I highly recommend checking out a tool called Large Address Aware found on TechpowerUp that patches the game executable to be able to use more than 2GB of RAM and stops crashes completely! I was having issues with this game crashing really all the time, but after some digging, found out that this game is a 32-bit process and cannot use more than 2GB of RAM, since modern Windows 10 and 11 are resource hogs and have become so inefficient, the game's executable will exceed 2GB of RAM and crash. Large Address Aware (LAA) fixed this issue completely. It's an absolute masterpiece of a game that is worth revisiting, with one of the most memorable character Arcs I've ever seen in a game so far, the transformation of Jason Brody is both entertaining and chilling, and of course will not forget to mention one of the most famous antagonists in game ever created, Michael Mando as Vaas was truly stellar and brought much more life to this game with his performance. If you've never played it I wholeheartedly recommend you do, this game was made back in the days when Ubisoft was still a respected name in the industry, back when they still had soul left, before they devolved into the corporate, data driven, slop makers they have become. It's beautiful, chaotic, emergent, where anything can happen while you're out exploring. What a game! They don't make them like they used to.

What is the definition of insanity? Logging into Ubisoft Connect every single time you wanna play Retyping your password like it's 2012 And now... no online features because Ubisoft said lol nope xDD But still hands down i have 0 regrets playing this game... it was an absolute experience.. Straight up the peak of the franchise no contest.... this game defined what an open world FPS could be before everyone copied it.. it's got chaos heart and a villain that still lives rent-free in my brain (uk who xDD) Story – (10/10) Jason Brody goes from vacation bro to jungle menace lmfao and it just works... the pacing is tight and Vaas??? Vaas is HIM... the "definition of insanity" speech? easily my fav part in the whole game it's iconic af still gives me chills... We love well written villains xD Gameplay – (9.5/10) Not as snappy as COD if you're just trying to clear a room but the physics goes crazy... driving feels real... guns feel heavy and the fire physics?? god tier you can light stuff on fire and just watch it spread... absolute dopamine xD Difficulty – (8.5/10) You can go stealth or go guns blazing but i'll recc stealth early game... both are valid but mess up and you're toast... some missions def don't hold your hand and those save points? brutal sometimes but also kinda adds to the old-school charm tbh Graphics & Atmosphere – (10/10) Idc how old this game is... it STILL looks gorgeous somehow like fr 2012?? no way lighting foliage weather all look sick and the world just feels alive wild animals random shootouts just vibes all day Sound Design – (9.5/10) Gunshots slap... music slaps... voice acting SLAPS.... especially Vaas and Dennis... jungle ambiance is super immersive too Replayability – (8.5/10) Story's fire and outposts are addictive... but yeah after a while the side stuff starts to blur together... still mad worth revisiting even now Cons [*] Ubisoft Connect logins = pain [*] Have to retype your password like it's your first time logging in every time [*] They removed online support 💀 no more co-op or multiplayer :(( [*] Game crashes randomly sometimes [*] Manual saves are needed = The autosave is quite unforgiving... RIP progress if you forget to save xD [*] Ubisoft launcher still exists for some reason (Did i mention ubisoft twice? Yes your welcome) Final Verdict Ubisoft nuked the online stuff but single player is still absolute 🔥... Vaas alone makes this worth it and everything else just hits hard.... Even over a decade later still one of the best shooters out there and def the best Far Cry period Final Score: 9.5/10 <33

Far Cry 3 came out in 2012 and I just played it now. It's an interesting and exciting story, but the ending disappointed me. I chose my friends because I saved them throughout the game. The characters are vibrant and well-developed. The protagonist, Jason Brody, often becomes unhinged, either due to the influence of drugs or the traumatic events he has endured. The soundtrack is superb, particularly during the mission to burn the plantations.
